Exactly... one set = 2 wheels for the rear. No tires or that would be a hell of a deal...

I've posted these in the correct Forum now...

mlee, do you have any more photos of your car with these wheels on it? I'm considering these, but they would be daily-drivers, and I would get the narrower version for the fronts, so I'd like to see what they look like on the car. I've seen this one picture below, but do you have any more, maybe from a little further away??? Thanks in advance.

Here's the set I had on at C5Fest. These did not have the correct offsets and required a spacer. They were also polished and not chrome. I haven't seen the polished ones in a while but I think they come in black chrome too. The ones I'm selling are regular chrome.

Notice the center caps are on these also. In the pic you posted the caps hadn't been snapped in yet.

Ok....bringing this back to life because I'm now having a problem finding some wheels.

I called Bob and he says that the only one that comes in a 40mm is a 18x9.5 Grand Sport wheel.

I've been calling around to some of these places that have replicas and they all have said that the 18x10.5 has the 54mm and 56mm offset.

Obviously I would like to get the cheapest wheel since they won't be used but 4 or 5 times a year and only at the drag strip. Any suggestions?

Just passing along the info but looks like Mike got the wheels from http://www.wheelreplica.com/camaro.html.

They don't have the 40mm offset listed so I called them to see if they could get them. The guy I talked to had never heard of using a 40mm and said that ARD had ordered 14 sets of them in 53mm offset. He even called ARD to talk to their warehouse mgr (Jay) and he confirmed that they used 53mm offset.

So now I'm confused because everyone here says to use 40mm but I can't find a 18x10.5 with a 40mm offset. I can find 18x9.5 with 40mm but not 18x10.5.

No, I think you're right on the money there. I think the way it works is, in order to make the standard 18x9.5" replica wheel fit the SS without using spacers, you need to use the 40mm offset. But with the wider 10.5" wheel, you need a little more offset, so 53mm sounds about right. It should work?!?!? Did "mlee" ever get back to you and tell you what the offset was on the wheels he was selling?

Ok....that makes sense.

I didn't verify the offset for sure. He just mentioned they fit without spacers. Hopefully he'll chime in and let us know for sure.

I'm mostly just passing info along at this point because I'm hoping to pick up a used set of these. I've been doing research just in case the deal doesn't make it though and figured others will need it for future reference.

YES... 53mm offset is correct... I purposely didn't throw it out there too much because everyone goes crazy wanting 40mm. I just said they fit the Camaro. There is plenty of clearance on the Brembos... one finger will fit between the wheel and brakes. Just need to tie back our E-brake lines.

and Yes they go for $150 to $175 each all day long...
