To actually be nice about the whole thing, you're not into manual transmissions. But he is. Faster? Um. No. Check out the stock times. The top six times belong to... waaait for it... manual transmissions. Whoa.

The times are ALL close, though, so I'm good with saying... the transmission DOESN'T MATTER for speed. Yeah, I know. I'm nice like that. I realize the LS3 lovers will point out that .3 of a second is FOREVER in the 1/4 mile... but pffft! (shhh! leave them with their delusions!

) Safer? I'd like to see the stats on that. Impossible to track. Cheaper? Definitely NOT!

Wanting, and owning, a manual transmission does not mean you're in high school. Nor does it mean you're trying to impress anyone. Personally, I hate automatics. They suck. Why? Because I don't like them. Yeah, my opinion. Anyone with an IQ of 60 can press one pedal. Does that mean everyone who owns an automatic transmission is stupid? Absolutely not. It's called 'preference' and 'opinion'. Personally, I enjoy a manual transmission far more than pushing a "Go Fast" pedal.

And... wouldn't you know... I happen to own the LS3. Simple to park, and easier than spitting to use on a hill. Go figure.

Wow,....I originally started the thread to admit how nice the manual was and that I may be purchasing a manual Corvette as opposed to auto, and the whole thread erupts into a mommy vs daddy flame-war. We all need to quit acting like primitive apes fighting over which banana has a brighter peeling.

To tell you how strongly i feel about how much i love the manual vs auto a local dealer has the same car i wanted but in auto. A dealer 1400kms away had one in stick i drove the 1400 kms and got the stick. If this car did not come in manual in 2010 i would not have bought it.
