Manual Or Auto - V6

Hey Everyone,

I''m still having a tough decision between getting the manual, or the automatic. I like using a manual with fast cars because you feel more into it, and lets admit it... its a bit funner, and not as boring.

But, the automatic does have the paddle shifters. So I'm not sure what I want to get.

Does the V6 shift good for manual? Any ups for getting manual over getting automatic, vice versa? Also, is it a 5 or 6 speed?

Off Topic - Do you think by next November that the manufactory will be caught up for making 2010 Camaros? And the wait wont be so long?

Thanks a lot guys.
Carter

Awesome thanks guys.

I drove my dads Jeep Wrangler which was a Manual, 6 Speed. So hopefully that helped me, and will help me with this car.

Sorry what exactly does nice "Short Throws" mean? Just a noob with all of this stuff, hah sorry. Plus, isn't manual a bit faster if you use it right?

Roceitright... I was on the fence about this also. I am going maual. If i went auto I would have a much easier time finding a car. Its looking like I may be ordering one.

A 'throw' is the distance you move the shifter between gear shifts. The shorter the throw the less time it takes to shift.

I got an automatic (because my wife can't drive a stick) and I don't regret it. The tap-shift is really fun and I love the automatic start; especially with it being cold!

To me, it has to be a manual since that's half the fun. Although it's probably been about 10 years since I've had one...

The camaro looks like a hotrod and is (v6,v8, dosent matter), a manual trans makes it feel more like a hotrod.
