I dont find it necessary. The ZL1 will do it with extra power and electronics. My Z28 will do it with me.

I am putting my faith in the 'off the shelf' LS7. The one they plan to put in the Vette. Rumor has it the C7 would have a 570 HP 525 TQ LS7. Given that these numbers are pure speculation by various print and Internet 'news' sources it may be pure fiction. On the other hand, since I am connecting the dots...... GM has the ability to build a LS7 close to the same power as an LSA.... This would reduce weight up front, reduce heat, reduce heat soak.... it all depends on how you read the ZL1 information. I seem to remember reading it would never have this kind of power.....
At least that is what Flounder tells me. |

Pete, your "observations" match my "perception" of what contacts have "hinted/suggested/[fill in blanks]"...
The hood deal may just be a poor-fitting one-off pilot-piece...or...?? Wixom needs "help"...we've covered that, and Corvette's flatline emphasizes that... 4199 freakin' pounds for the ZL1?! What I suspected, but kinda disappointing at the same time...after "assurances" by some, and "flames" from others, at suggesting such "heresy" as a possible-4200 lb. result, loaded... I'd say the "case" for a mid-$40s (priced 'tween the now-inevitable mid-$50s ZL1 and 2SS), well under-4,000 lb., with LS7 motor-vation and BOSS-bashing reflexes is stronger than ever... But, again, what do I know? Stay tuned...we're passing the "summer of discontent"...no likely signs of a fall harvest...we NEED a winter planting for spring blossoms and summer growth!! How metaphoric...as opposed to EUPHORIC... EDIT: There's at least as much "room to grow" with a 505 hp LS7 as there is with a 426 hp LS3... "Maxed" at 505? Not hardly... Roger that Pete,...errr, I mean 2.99 , looks to me like it was a hasty modification done "on the fly" without alot of fuss or muss right then and there while they were trying something out.

If a Z28 was available in the next 9 months with an LS7 would that change your mind?

It would depend how they do it. I'm addicted already to all the gadgetry and power of the ZL1....and the custom-appeal/value of the THR-SS. But if it were able to be in my driveway at the end of April...maybe. Just maybe.

#2.99: The SS is not the car you are looking for. Dragoneye: I don't want a SS. #2.99: A Z/28 with an LS7 is the Car of your dreams. Dragoneye: The Z/28 with an LS7 is the car of my dreams. #2.99: Go about your business and order a Z/28. Dragoneye: I have to call the business office and order my Z/28. |

Z/28 addiction is a popular model to explain automotive lust — uncontrollable urges, behaviors, or thoughts that appear extreme in frequency or feel out of one's control. Z/28 addiction, particularly with an LS7 is typically associated with lowered inhibitions, premium fuel and tire smoke and like some drugs can affect a person's social and purchasing decisions.
#2.99 exploited your lust. I had nothing to do with it. |
