I was expecting them to save more weight than a little over half a pound.

Their old version (not sure what material they are made out of) I think saved a little more weight. But since they switched over to stainless I think they got a little heavier.

Nope. You basically have to buy spiral books that have your notes and This is for biology for non majors. And the worst part is the professor said they spent 33 million on the concert hall to renovate it.
They make you buy spirals with your notes already in them?

I wonder if you'll be able to tell a difference from the stock outer bushing to the pfadt one

I mean I already don't like taking notes but spirals with notes in them already? That'd make class a piece of cake

Basically. There are 4 at 25 each instead of having to buy text books. Worst part is that the line for the book store is a good hour long.

Yea, the first few days, the line for the bookstore here stretched all around the store and even made it outside a couple times

Yup they have us snaked through the book shelves. It's the first day of the semester and I have already spent almost 200 bucks on books for one class. No idea how students can pay for this without either going in major debt or their parents. And that's that FSU isn't that expensive when compared to other universities.

I always waited till I had my first class of each class before I bought my books. I use to buy them all at once but often found myself returning some since the teachers never used them.

I do usually wait till mid week but for my bio lecture and lab I knew I was going to need them and in a class of 1100 students the bookstore can run out very quickly. It's happened to me before where I have spent over 100 bucks on one book and never opened it so I have learned my lesson unfortunately it was the hard way.

Amazon, guys! Buy your books from Amazon whenever possible! I think I cut my book cost down by half when I did that. Sometimes, I'd sell the books back to the bookstore at the end of the semester for a few dollars more than what I paid!

Obviously you're pretty much forced to buy from the bookstore if you have bookstore vouchers or scholarships specifically for books.
