IF you bought the v6 camaro in order to go out and race v8 muscle cars of the same era...you are fighting a losing battle.

Enjoy your car for what it is, someone will always be faster. If you are looking for a hot-rod I think the v6 is the wrong platform to start with.

The moral of this thread, if you want to "smoke" other cars, don't buy a v6.

520rwhp would probably be able to do it vs a stock GT500. Still would be a decently close race though.

If it makes you feel better that some people posted its a drivers race , go ahead. Both are great cars. If I had to pick one as a daily driver, I would pick the Camaro 2SS.

Mark
I was merely trying to point out that with only 1/10 sec diff between the 2 cars, that it's a driver's race.

Troof. Mine made 404hp/374tq to the wheels with the only mod being weld in 1 chamber flowmasters....if you want to call that a mod...

This is also troof.

wow...sounds like he really needs driving lessons. I trapped 116 with o/r X, weld in flows, 2.76 pulley, predator tuner and K&N FIPK on my first trip to the track and was spinning the entire way down the track because of my stupid bald 275 street tires. Not to mention Atlanta Dragway's prep sucks balls if it isn't a professional race.

Trap speeds...

03-04 Cobras frequently go 112+
111-112 for the 11 GT
Average traps are 110-111 for the camaro

Although it looks like the auto 11 GT could be the ticket...it may have all 3 beat...time will tell. A couple crazy 115 traps have been reported from them but they have been shadowed in some doubt for various reasons I wont go into (no need to argue)...as more time goes by we will get a better idea.

All three are a drivers race but I would put them in that order.

Well considering there is no 2003 SS, the Mustang would win.

The mustang by a one space-time continuum.

Assuming you mean a 2002 SS, then the camaro should win.

I'm guessing you meant 2002...

With both stock and both being manuals? ...hmmm...

I'm going to go with the 2002 SS. The LS1's were underrated (350 HP in truth) and werent slow in the 1/4.

'02 SS FTW
