Should still be the same as the Magnaflow Comp Series. Did you have the resonators removed as well?

I guess worst case you could buy the Tru-X....pay to switch it out and I'm sure you could get someone to buy the #11386 for $50-$60. Just depends on how happy/un-happy you are with it.

The other thing you could do is go buy a pair of LT header and slap them on. That should wake it up for you....although that's a much more expensive option.

You've got me a little concerned that it might not sound good enough for me either. Oh well....I'm pretty much comitted at this point. Still going back to how happy everyone says they are with the SOLO system as well and this should basically be the same as that (assuming you removed the resonators).

Pick my car up on Monday and hope to make it to the muffler shop Monday evening or Tuesday. That's assuming this 7" of snow we got will melt. So much for Global Warming???? TX with 7" of snow????

Dont get me wrong, it sounds alot better. Its just my idea of loud might be different than alot of you guys. I was just hoping it would be something like my uncles 1st gen camaro.

And like JDM said, itll probaly sound better after a few miles on it, i only put like 3 miles on it so far. Plus if it was extremely loud, like i was expecting, then im sure it would get annoying pretty quick, since this is my daily driver.

OK... I was super skeptical... I mean a V8 with out a muffler. Thats got to sound like CRAP. Well a friend of mine had an full exhaust from his SS that he wasn't using so I bought it for $100 to give it a try. I figure if it sucks, I can put mine back on.

So I went the route of cutting the muffler cans off (NOT THE PIPES). So I was left with the pass through pipe with the holes in it. I then got an 18" piece if 2.5" inner diameter pipe (should have got 2.75") and put it around the pipe to cover the holes and welded it all up.

Bolted it up... Moment of truth...

WOW! Sounds AMAZING... for $100! and I still have my stock exhaust!

I have started it 5 times in the garage just to hear it. Snow/ice on the driveway prohibit me from driving it...

I am considerng the x pipe inplace of resonators next... I need to drive it around with just the muffler delete first.

sounds wayyyyyy meaner! I am for sure doing this!! I was going to buy the SLP straight pipes for $100 and then take them to a shop and have them installed. Or will the shop supply the pipes?

The shop supplied the pipes for me. $140 for both labor and materials. I thought it wasn't too bad. They did a great job centering my tips, and extending them about an inch further than they were out the back. Well worth it.
