So wipe the koolaid from your upper lips and come back to earth everyone. Hmmmm does a CTSV beat a Z06 around the track? Think on that one for a while.

Reference over here in Europe, the Nurburgring:

C6 Z06: 7'40"
CTS-V: 7'59"

Sure the Z06 is faster, but the Caddy did pretty good on a 22.8km twisty track I think...

I think Z28 will be able to knock about 10 seconds off that 7'59", but I don't know about the 7'40". I think, on a shorter track, perhaps Z28 could keep up, but a track that long, Z06 will start pulling away and stay out front.

I still hope I'm wrong

Not it wouldent be awsome.. Hate to say it but at 45K every one and there dog will have a Z/28. Id love it to be 45K so i could maybe afford it but at 45K to beat a zo6 there would be one on every connor.

Could a full steel, four seater car, really be built to be higher performance than a fiberglass, titanium, aluminum, carbonfiber, race bred Corvette for less money?

Faster and quicker are a big difference.

Never will the Z28 be QUICKER on any track than a C6 Z06.

that is unless they have found a magical way to shed 1000 lbs from its fat ass.
