me personally i love the look of those chrome accents on the exhaust. But i can't say much cause ont he concept there isn't anything i can see that i don't like or would change.

One thing though i have been curious about and noone has mentioned i think...i wonder where they will put the little GM block that newer vehicles have on them now?

It's not in all pix. They either photoshopped it out for some pix or put it on after a lot of pix were taken.

I have an 04 Mustang, and there is no illumination on the window/door lock controls, nor on the cruise control buttons. It's actually a pain when other people can't roll down their window at night. I have a dark tint on my car, and black interior, so it's pretty dark in there. Also, trying to find the proper cruise control button in the dark sucks, and since I rarely use it, I tend to forget which button does what.

The pictures you have there may have been chopped to change the exhaust on the Coupe. If you look at the pictures on Chevy's website, you'll see that the exhaust tips on the coupe have more of a satin finish while the convertible is shinier.

Here's a quote from automobilemag on the matter:

Quote:
Like the coupe concept, this convertible is very close to the production version. Visually, the convertible makes a much bigger splash than the coupe. That's partly due to the retro hugger orange pearl paint job and gunmetal gray racing stripes. Tom Peters, General Motors' director of exterior design for rear-wheel-drive and performance vehicles, says the idea was to create a more striking package: "We opted to go with bright metal accents, as opposed to satin finish, for things like the exhaust tips and fuel filler, and even the rear lights have a polished look. The wheels are different, too. We wanted to do an update of the redline tires from the 1960s, but instead of the red line going around the tire, it's actually on the wheels."

Yeah, I hear you, my car's the same way (minus the tinted windows). I just think it'd be weird and distracting to have little dots of light on the window/lock buttons. My cruise control is a stick on the steering column (I blanked on what those are called). push in on the end to turn it on/off, up to resume/accelerate, down to set/decelerate, pull forward to cancel.

Yeah, I usually don't look twice at things like that, but I think the satin finish on the Coupe makes it look almost plastic, and plastic exhaust tips just aren't cool, or all that functional.

Why not have a dimmer for the interior lights, like Saab? Turn the dimmer off to see everything, then turn it on so that everything that isn't on the gauge panel isn't bright

...what do you mean? Is that different from typical dimmers? All the way up is bright, and down low is...well, low.

I probably read it wrong

Extras.

Hi.

I've just joined... i'm currently living in England, but moving next year to Canada.... and planning on buying a New high power V8 Camaro when they pull their fingers out and build it.

I'm hoping to have enough money to be able to flip through the option list... what do you think they will offer as optional extras??
