Weather and your thoughts

OK dudes and dudettes, the weather is really jacked up right about now with tornado warnings going on and severe thunderstorms until late tonight.
The weather forecasters are also saying that we'll have rain in the morning hours and clearing sometime Saturday afternoon.
This being said, I want open and honest opinions on whether or not you'll still want to come to the event with the weather possibly still spitting rain.

If you want to still make it happen then that's probably what we'll do but if it is such that its going to be nasty the better part of the day and especially during the majority of our meet time, we could possibly put it off and make this a Fall Event. Kinda look over dates of any upcoming events and possibly push it back to maybe late October depending on previously book or planned events.

Just wanted to throw this out there and strongly suggest everyone watch the local news, weather and especially this thread as well as the 3rd Annual Hare Chevrolet Meet & Greet and Car Show on facebook for any late, breaking updates.

Thanks!

If the majority still wants to do it, that's fine with me and I'll be there. However, I am not opposed to postponing either, but can understand that this would be a bigger inconvenience for those coming from greater distances or out of state.

I just saw the reminder/last minute details email from Hare stating that registration is from 12-1 and will admit that I likely won't be there by 1. I am scheduled to work tomorrow until 1:30 but already asked and there is a possibility that I can get off early. Also, I had planned on using this afternoon to get my car ready, but the weather kept that from being practical. Of course, this is just one person's situation, and if we keep it tomorrow I will be there, but you guys will have to pardon my car's likely less than show-worthy appearance.

I will be sure to check this thread tomorrow before I leave to see what has been decided. Thanks again Joe for all the work you put into this!

I live in Traders Point and to the west it looks dark but is starting to lighten up and to the east what sunrise I was getting has dissipated some with the clouds rolling in and out, its cool and breezy for shezzy! None the less, the radar shows nothing so I'm thinking we're good to go.
I let my two Havanese out and started my Morning Joe and I plan to get moving and out the door by 10a. Those who are onboard, we'll see you there. Those who elect not to come or can't make it, well maybe next year and I do mean maybe.

I want the thank each and everyone who came out to today's 3rd Annual Hare Chevrolet Meet & Greet and Car Show!

We took a big hit on attendance with the LS/LSX Shoot Out In Bowling Green, KY, BMW Golf Championship, NHRA Summer Nationals and all the HS football games there were canned last night due to the severe weather that came through to the early morning hours. A lot of people held out to see what the weather was going to do but for those who had faith and came on out, I say thank you! You don't know how it is to plan an event and deal with personalities, other events and logistics.

Big ups to Lingenfelter who has always supported our event! Tim brought the beast down and as always, it gets a lot of looks. Thanks for the posters, T-shirts and ball caps! Got to give a huge shout out to my man Derrick Hawkins for his serious sound system that provided what we needed to keep it all together.

Special thanks to Ally Conner at Hare for bearing with me yet another year and Hare for all they do and provide. This has turned into a very nice event and at times I think this is my last time but now, now I think we have the weather formula down to a science. I think if God drove a car it would be a Camaro the way He cleared the skies this morning and provided the perfect Chamber of Commerce day for us.

In closing, we've already thought about ways to make it better next year. We talking about having having the Camaro's and the Corvette Club of Indianapolis have this meet together. Camaro's judge the 'vettes and the vettes judge the Camaro's. Also we're tentatively are talking about September 7, 2013. We can lock the date with HTC in November but this what we're shooting for. Also we're talking about a few more awards such as Best Modded Car and a couple of more categories.

I'd also like to have at least 3 more people serve as a committee with me in planning next years event. We may also have a couple of the vette peeps to sit on this as well.

Again, thanks to each and everyone one of you all of your continued support! I was told by Hank and Steve my contract ain't up yet, so I have to continue to serve in organizing this event. Ally told me the same thing.

Until the next time, keep it real and please, everyone get on board for Steve's 'Covered Bridge' cruise he's putting together. This too should be a lot of fun and another opportunity to get them out.

Take care, peace and if you ever need me for anything (second or third husband-LOL) don't hesitate to ask. If I can't do it, I'll always try to find someone who can.

Peace!

Sorry for not making it. I really wanted to join but Tran ended up banning me for 10 days so I missed out on all the information I needed. I would have been driving in the dark. I was really wanting to go and meet you all.

For those who would like to see pics, you can go to this link:

Also to prevent from missing any of events, you should join the Indiana 5th Gen page of facebook and if you're interested in joining the Central Indiana Camaro Club (CICC) which is not limited to just central Indiana, you can join and find more info at: http://www.indycamaro.com/

Thanks! Plans are already in the works for next year to have a combined event with the Camaro's and the Corvettes. Same venue, vettes judge the Camaro's and Camaro's judge the vettes. The tentative date is set for September 7, 2013. We'll have the date locked next month.
The vettes had 120 cars this past August for their show and we plan to knock them out the box so keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming news.

So what are you up to now on your hat count? This is the 3rd year so at least three and we had extras in the boxes so we didn't have to carry anything back. Did you get a bejeweled hat for the lady in your life? I know I grabbed one cause at the May IMS event they had them with multi-colored jewels but Saturday the one I got for my girl were all blue. She was happy!
I also got a Lingenfelter hat in IOM.
