I also had the dealership troubleshoot the issue before I was able to figure out (on my own) that it was the Scosche kit causing the issue.

At this point, I am so disappointed that the Scosche issues still persist. It has been over 3 months since issues have been reported and the canned answer of "we are still looking into this" is just not acceptable.
I am holding out hope that the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show will produce a competitor to both the Scosche and Metra kits. Based on threads in the Forum, it seems that neither vendor is correcting the quality issues.

As of the last time the shop pulled my radio, I have not had any TPMS issues. I still have very short remote range, but that is the only issue I have now. I can totally live with a short remote range.

I agree... I can handle a short remote; long as I'm not throwing warning codes on my tires. I have an LS3 so non remote start, I'm more worried about the garage door range since I heard that was an issue; I.already need to be almost in my driveway for it to engage now...

Probably a dumb question; but has there been any firmware updates from Scosche that may help with these issues?
On another note... anyone do their own install on a Kenwood unit? There's a bulletin on Scosches site to tie 2 of the wires on their harness for the steering wheel controls together with a resistor- only applies to Kenwood units. I got the resistor and will be following as instructed... just curious if anyone knows what this does; or how it effects those who didn't do it...

The resistor is to make steering wheel controls work with the brand new Kenwood units.
The firmware updates for the scosche are useless for this issue. They are as useless as scosche support..... Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2 |
