Is that what that joker means by "a time for change" ? Spend, Spend, Spend. Keep priniting the money. The NJ tax payers should be proud of the money that was spent on this!

OMG ![]() from a PREVIOUS post... This was a loaner car from Kerbeck in Atlantic City. They held their annual toys for tots run (a Corvette event) yesterday. The AC Expressway is essentially show down to other traffic for a little while while the vettes bearing gifts for the Marine Corps program drive the 20 miles or so to the Kerbeck dealership. Cars are essentially allowed to go as fast a prudent (well over 100 MPH in many cases). This was the 6th year.

This is great that the police are getting these in areas. They deserve a lot more than what they get and this is a nice way to give some officers who've earned it more than others a little extra. I would like to see it in black, it would be a whole lot more intimidating on top of just looking better, IMHO.
Haha imagine seeing this in your rearview mirror with its lights going, I'd be something like ![]() hehehe. We need more of these patrolling. Bravo to the places that have them. ![]() ![]()

Its for Highway use which is justifiable and it will pay for itself within a year with all the tickets it writes which sucks for the people of jersey and me because I go to Atlantic City about once a month, as for all other police vehicles they have different ways they should be used for suburban area streets nothing beats the Impala for turning on the small blocks, the Crown Vic is great for big city blocks. Sadly I have been in a Hybrid Nissan Altima which should have never been even thought of, and now some of the unmarked cars are the Toyota Prius. It depends on where you work for the car thats needed, but the cities just don't want to spend the money.

I did read the thread. I understand that the car in question was donated and is only for charity runs, etc.
But, the link to this thread didn't make that very clear and my reply was towards the description on the home page linked to this thread. Quote:

Boy....you guys sure dont hesitate to jump all over the fact that the Police may have a state of the art Police Cruiser....(only to later find out that it was donated for a one day event.)
![]() If it WERE true....or IF they get them in the future......whats the big deal? They are FAST, Intimidating, would definitely get the job done, and they will be a hit with the young kids for P.R. reasons which could result in the kids actually approaching a cop to talk about his cool patrol vehicle thus opening up communications between cops and kids. ![]() Much like the D.A.R.E cars that are taken to schools for drug education, and when K-9 Officers take their K-9 partners for school demos. What you may not take into consideration or be aware of is that there are Federal grant monies being issued to depts for Police vehicles and equipment. Also, as stated in an earlier post, the money could come from DRUG MONEY SEIZURES. The law requires that any drug monies seized MUST be used to fund drug enforcement, which could fall under Highway drug interdiction details. In either case....your tax dollars wouldnt pay a dime! ![]() .....not to mention that a portion of the fines collected for speeding tickets get put into a fund for the state....again.....not using YOUR tax dollars. If we want to jump on a bandwagon about a WASTE of taxpayers money......how about the deadbeats that abuse the Welfare system??? Those who never get a job or havent had one in years, walk around with high dollar shoes and a $1,000 worth of hair, two cellphones, new cars, and keep pumping out more mouths for US to feed?? WE have to take a drug test to keep our job which in turn PAYS for welfare recipients....yet the welfare recipients dont have to pass a drug test to collect checks that OUR taxes pay for!! Now THAT....is worth screaming about. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If the Cops CAN get cool cruisers.....more power to them. Just M/O |

remember a while back how they had troopers out on the road with "old, unsafe" patrol cars? yeah, they traded in those crown vics and caprices probably during c4c for new camaros and tahoes. and they were so unsafe that they turned around and sold them at auction to the public (well, some made it to us) who put them right back on the road without even getting them inspected. yeah for NJ!!!
