Are you looking at the Cat-back System -300693? I'll have to check with Cherry Bomb in the morning to see about the charges. Can you provide a business ship to address? Cherry Bomb has a warehouse in Canada and can ship to businesses but not home addresses. I know it's weird but we have to play by the rules. If we can ship from Canada it will be more cost effective.

As far as the Magnaflow systems.....those are very nice prices but believe it or not you can shave even more off those prices if you talk to MagnaflowPlus.com and let them know you're a Camaro5 member....and I don't mean $5 or $10. I haven't seen anyone come close to their prices yet.....although this is probably as close as I've seen.

Still.....for $400 it looks like the Cherry Bomb is going to be hard to beat for a complete turn-key cat-back system.

Kind regards,

Very cool. I'd love to hear it in person sometime when it's done. I work in Kettering, so I'll be on the lookout for a loud rumble going to and from work

Congrats!

IMO - I think the ATAK is a bit high pitched for my tastes.

It is wonderful there are so many choices out there. Everyone can choose what they like the best.

Problem

I ordered the Cherry Bomb "Axle Back". With the axle back kit, you re-use the stock camaro pipes behind the cats but you have to cut them. The passenger side would not fit right and I ended up screwing up the foot long splice section provided with the kit that connects the pipe coming off the muffler to the stock pipe.

I called Cherry Bomb tech support. They investigated the parts that they had in stock and found that the length of the passenger side splice section and the bends were wrong. They remade the splice section and have sent me a new one (it's on it's way). This affects the "AXLE BACK" kit only. It has nothing to do with the cat back kit which includes the X-pipe.

I'll keep everyone posted on the fit of the passenger's side once I get the correctly made pipe.

If you are asking me, I got the axle-back (not the cat-back) and purchased it through performanceexhaustplus.com. It was drop shipped directly to me from the factory (Maremont) in Tennessee. Price was as advertised on page 3 of this thread.

I got my axle-back system and tried to install last night. Same thing, passenger side would not fit right. Tried for 45 minutes to get it lined up correctly to no avail. I called Jim at Performanceexhaustplus and he gave me the number to Cherry Bomb's tech service and he told me someone else had the same problem. (Wonder who that was? lol). I too have a new one on the way. What a pain. The tech told me he thinks a few had gotten sent out that way, so if you get one and have problems, give them a call.

I got the remade splice secton today from Maremont (Cherry Bomb). I fits a little better, but I'm having to use a torch on the hangers to bend them to center the exhaust tips in the hole of the rear valence. I've got to say...this is the absolute worst fitting "bolt-on" system that I have ever tried to put on a car and I have put A LOT of systems on cars. I hope the sound is worth it in the end.

The biggest problem is at the point where Cherry Bomb tells you to cut the factory pipe on the passenger side (13.75" back from a specific point on the IRS), there is a factory "crimp" about 1.5" back from where you are supposed to cut caused by the factory putting a bend in the pipe. I'm worried about the slip-fit section even being able to seal because of this crimp causing the pipe not to be round.

At this point, I would recommend that anyone that wants to order the Cherry Bomb system should probably order the "cat-back" that comes with the X-pipe. Trying to mate the "axle back" up to the factory pipe is becoming a real nightmare!
