Comes with the harness, pdim, and usb port. Also includes good instruction sheet with pics.
Your radio will have to be programmed to accept usb after installing. Took about half an hour to install and another half to program, all in all can be done in less than two hours if you take your time and read instructions as you go. I have had a console out of one before so it didnt take that long
The radio has to be programmed by teh dealer or I can do that ?
Thanks again guys !

I cancelled my order with gmpartsdirect as I did with my 4 guage package ( second cancellation). They weren't real happy with me. They don't like order cancellations. They said they would let me do it this time. In the future if I order from them I'll ask if they have the part in stock. Good luck fellows that is their attitude.

tech support, great write up and thank god your pictures were in focus, too many people have crappy pics on here that look like a person was looking through Mr. Magoo's glasses.

is there a DIY post on the USB port? How much will GM charge to program the USB?

thanks

Attached are the instructions for installing the PDIM (USB).

Here is a link to a thread with pictures on how to remove the console: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38977

I used that thread when I installed my PDIM: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45256

It takes about 45 minutes to program the radio so expect an hour charge from dealer. Dealer's around me charge $96/hour.

slick rick that is the wrong link for the pdim installation. That link takes you to the QTP electric cutout install.

Correct, it's not a PDIM install but it shows you how to remove the console. I haven't seen a detailed PDIM install thread yet.

The pdim kit comes with the instructions when you get the kit very detailed with pics. As far as how much it costs??? I would say an hour at your dealer so whatever your hourly rate is. I actually work at a dealer so like on Monster Garage" FREEBIE, FREEBIE".

This may be a stupid question but can you switch between the presets on your radio with the new switch?

Went today to the Local Dealership (Fremont Chevrolet-NoCal) for the BCM reprogramming. Had the information from Techsupport and they were willing to do the work. I am the first customer to have this done so the tech had to go through the process with someone on the phone from tech. He was on the phone for a while to and the update itself was about 45min. So, with the reprogramming done.... All works great.
Thanks to all on C5 that worked to get this upgrade possible!!

If your looking for a Northern CA dealership to reprogram your BCM to make your steering wheel controls active, Fremont Chevrolet did a good job for me.
