117mph trap speeds indicates that its not gonna be THAT rare either though .

The stock SS's might be having a bog problem because of the weight + gearing

i swear its like some of you guys just WANT to argue about anything and then blame the "other clan" when you get a response.

aha it worked, thanks for replying. as you see, the average LS3 Camaros dyno maybe 370rwhp and you dynoed 391rwhp but then you turn around and want to argue about a 5.0 dynoing 380rwhp vs 395rwhp just further proves what i already said, the 380rwhp is within variances and arguing otherwise is just foolishness and youre doing it just for the sake of trying to bait people. and you cant say 395rwhp hasnt ever happened again either because its been documented on other unrelated occasions dynoing 390+rwhp stock also.

the 3.31's are only faster on an untuned car. i rev to 7300 and can change it to 7800. there is no need for a last 100' shift when tuned.

autos are the fastest at the track when tuned and geared anyway.

Most LS3 cars fall into the 375 - 380 range.

All I did was respond to your baiting statement that you've never seen an LS3 do the numbers.

depends on other things like what tires you plan on running and what your future mods list looks like. stockish, i think 3.31 or 3.55 is best.

You mean like the bone stock 5.0s that have run 12.6s, 12.5s and all the way down to 12.39? Hmm. . . those people must have bought cars from the magazines?

You're totally right. It's a conspiracy to make the mustang, that is actually slower, SEEM faster. They have placed 150 secret-weapon 5.0s in the hands of the right people with a different tune. The member here that posted he trapped and et'd faster in his 5.0 than his camaro is really a russian spy in direct contact with putin through his sync system.

i preferred to just leave the 395rwhp and 380rwhp results as is and just within variances instead of trying to go into more conspiracy theorys

well, youre saying its ok for your car to dyno 20rwhp more than average but not ok for a mustang to dyno 15rwhp more than the previous 5.0 there did! and you provided proof thats its possible. wow awesome case you built up for yourself. thats why im saying youre arguing just for the sake of arguing.

20 more? I don't think so.....that dyno produces a typical 380 hp pulls.

Just to keep the facts straight - the two mustangs in question didn't have a 20rwhp difference at peak hp, they had a 15rwhp difference at peak, only 4rwhp more than what you say the difference between your car and the average ls3 does on that dyno. Not exactly mind blowing.

I'd be interested to see if dyno calibration was exactly the same. Most importantly, correction factor, smoothing, and weather conditions. Either way, 15rwhp at peak is far from unheard of when it comes to variations between stock cars. This is why dyno racing is stupid.
