FINALMENTE!
Well, those rear subframe cradle inserts are all greased up and in. The pedders guys did a pretty good job with the instructions, but need to add two things to make this job a ton easier for everyone. 1. Use a hammer to remove the lower washers. You can pry them down with a hammer and they will pop right out. At least, I did this with the rear uppers and knocked them out with one hand. I was told by others that a pry tool inside the front rears prying down can knock them out with one hand too. 2. In order to get the rear upper bushes in, you need to drop the entire cradle. It's really easy to do, but you need a floor jack. With is up on stands and the cradle on up on the floor jack, take out all 4 cradle bolts and lower it down. It's pretty easy to manipulate and will go right back in by use of the rear guides. Now I need to knock out those front radius bushes but need a press to get it done. I also have a creaking in the back on both sides now. Actually, it started a few weeks ago after the springs and sway install. Not sure what it is, but everyone is locked down and tight. That creaking is going to drive me nuts... and I put on the quieter mufflers again for a while...change it up for a bit... ...which means I hear everything that much more now. UGH... |

What do you mean by..."creaking"?

Just that...creaking and popping...
The easiest way for me to make it happen is this.... I'll turn the wheels to the right, pull forward and then put it in reverse while still going 1mph forward. I'll begin to reverse and CRRRREAK....while I'm rolling backwards, I'll put it back in 1st and begin to apply the gas to go forward. As it begins to go forward, CRRREAK.... It sounds to be coming from the rears. No idea what it is. Maybe endlinks? Would too much grease in the bushes cause them to slip? Even if they are tightened down extremely tight? Anyone? |

Thanks for your help, Merc.
You know...a hammer up there in the back knocked those puppies right out. One hand and in like..5 seconds. BAM! They were out. I was like, HOLY CRAP! Again, for anyone doing them, Just put the back part in and pry the side. Merc also told me about lowering the entire cradle. |

Diff bushings?...sounds like the change in direction (torque-induced flex) is moving parts around.
Definitely drive it for a few dozen miles to make sure. |
