The use of a handgun to try and break the windows is highly frowned upon, as there could be a chance for fire and look where the barrel in a couple of the attempts was pointing, right at the officers using them. Why any of these officers didn't have an asp or baton is beyond me. The asp would easily destroyed a window .The guys trying to throw spike strips is also laughable, it's not advised to step infront of a moving vehicle to sling them out, and then leave them in the roadway for the pursuing officers to hit. All in all, it's good that they finally stopped him , but in all purposes, this was a massive fail for the depts. involved and should be shown in training as what NOT to do in a pursuit.
Well Said.

And clearly we paid more for our strong glass than our engine...

Bad move on the part of the driver. He is fortunate he was not harmed in a serious way.

People have died (murdered by the police) here in Miami from running from the police and remember Rodney King's beating?

When trying to break car windows, aim for the corners. That is the weakest spot. Any glass that isnt lexan or reinforced can be broken easily, even if you use the antennae from the car to break it.

I thought the Camaro didn't have that "feature" period, V6 or V8. Guess I learn something new every day.

*Edit*

After watching the video OnStar did get involved. Notice the flashers. That's OnStar's doing, if I remember correctly, to help police identify a vehicle involved in illegal activity.

Wow.. I had to Lol at the cops when they had it stopped.. was it just me or did they not want to dent the Camaro's rear bumper..

You have a cop car.. ram his ass and drag him out.. dont stop and let him back up.. :-\

On a side note.. the windows may not be bullet proof, but apparently they are gun proof?

All I have to say is; The camaro has tough side windows and where I live they just would have shot him.
