Vampire truck ; Bloodsucking bastard that will not die.

317,000 miles, motor never touched, but nearly every damn thing else has been replaced. Can't bring myself to drive it to the crusher.

I think that, in order to qualify as a beater car, it should be at least 10 years old, and/or have over 100k miles on it. Otherwise, like someone else already said, it's not a beater. It's just your other car.

My beater is gonna end up costing me ~$1k to fix. Thats 1/8th of it's value....so much for the 5 days of PTO I cashed out to buy christmas presents.

1981 K10 that is 4 different colors and the driver side door doesn't quite shut all the way, named Oliver. I love that truck, still would rather drive the Camaro. no pics to post from work.

1999 Ford F150 with 241,000 miles.
It was my pride and joy, until I got my Camaro.
I will love it forever especially since it just cost me $1,000 got get it fixed.
I need a beater that will run every time. It does you no good if
you can't get to work.

Hate me if you must but my winter car is my 2011 2LT. 'Known' rust treatment, wax, and fluid change twice a year. I am from Texas, moved to Canada in 2003. Even in harsh winters like Canada good maintenance will preserve your winter car. I traded my 2006 Sebring LXI, just turned 100,000, miles, zero rust, near perfect paint, near perfect leather interior, and was driving this auto four years in Canadian winters. Mechanicals 100% maintained since I bought new in March 2006. The Sebring was my winter car. This picture was taken only a few months before I traded it on my 2011 Camaro.

My summer car is my Pearl White 1998 Riviera, which just turned 65,000 miles and I now drive about 2,000 miles per year. Never been driven in snow. A South Carolina auto I received from my aunt's estate in 2005. She was a car nut and this was her 4th white Riviera I helped her pick out. Still has her red umbrella in the car. I keep it well maintained, waxed, 'Krown' rust treatment yearly.

So to maintain my 1998 summer only Riviera, my winter car will be my 2011 2LT:
