Supposed to be nice here in Calgary for the rest of the week...hopefully warm enough to melt the snow drifts so I can bring my car out of the garage...I had my car out last year by March 10...I would like to bring her out to play next week

Kim, I was out playing tonight for a bit. Still too cold for the Pirelli's, but fun to drive nonetheless.

Hope to see you out there in yours soon.

Hey Dinger - snow up there better be gone by mid-May. Plan on bringing the car out to Canmore for a week of R & R before the May long.

I came close to bringing it out the other day, but theres sooooooo much gravel on the roads! For those living in the east, Calgary likes to use rocks instead of salt. They claim it's sand........

Edmonton too...mine won't be coming out until they have swept the roads...last year I backed out of the garage just as the sweepers were heading out of the cul-de-sac

Try commuting every six days from Fort Mac! My three year old Jeep is on it's 5th windshield! No joke!

Yep! The rocks they call sand!

Even in the summer in Calgary, you can find rocks in the street. They didn't seem to sweep as well last year as other years.

I posted this a while back in another thread...my wife and I went to Yellowstone a couple of years ago and she commented on there being no rocks at all on the roads down there. Sure would be nice if they could do that up here.

I'm hoping that it's been warm enough here that the snow won't accumulate. I'm thinking it will melt within a very short time. Can always hope...
