sorry I got it wrong. 3B00 does look somewhat like 3800. And, yes, I do wear glasses!

My guess is there was some kind of QC issue and they fixed it or are fixing it. The wait is frustrating but I'd rather my car was the first time vs a bunch of trips back to dealer to fix TSBs.
9 days though? when others built after me are shipping out? i cant see it taking more than a few days tops to fix any issue on the vehicle...highly dissapointing..so much so i called customer service for the first time today to try and push things along after being so patiend for almost 3 weeks that its been being built.

Yeah, that is odd. I wish I knew a way to find out more information for you. Have you checked with Becky yet?

that tracking is out today and that they would call me monday morning with an update. I politely told them i have been patient for 2-3 weeks now and my pre approval will be running out and im not having another hit on my credit because they couldnt get the car shipped in time..she tried to say it would be shipping soon and to be patient and it takes time and i explained it doesnt take 2 weeks to update someone on whats going on especially when i know people who had cars built after me that are already shipping out..i was never rude, but the lady kept apologizing. Although she said i should have an 8 character number to track my order..i facepalmed on that one..so i guess monday i will be calling back, and if necessary, ill be asking for a supervisor..

yea shes having the same responses i am..which is no answer from anyone..actually advised it me it may do some good if the customer (me) calls in and starts prodding at them to see whats going on.

I mean honestly, i wouldnt even care if it was bayed/ invoice released..at lest then i could get the paper work finalzed etc..im sure they probably have bayed it, and some jack o' lantern didnt scan my vehicle in to be updated..

Could not resist, ordered my first two "mods" -- Camaro SS exterior color license frame (hard to justify based on the price but I think it should look great) and the GM grey/black indoor/outdoor cover fitted for the 'vert. I will be parking in the woods on the weekends and don't want junk all over my car. It will keep things nice and clean when it's parked in my garage from January through early April too (coming up soon -- how depressing)...

I wish I would have ordered the Hurst now. That's on my list. As are quarter flares and a body colored grill.

Don't know how mechanically inclined you are, but a hurst install is pretty simple and you can reintall the stock knob or go with the classic hurst white knob afterword. You also save about $120 doing it yourself.

Aftermarket Hurst has a threaded shaft and the stock knob is press on.

Might consider doing it myself, but might just have the dealer do it before I pick it up or in the spring.

Just a heads up to you guys.

Aftermarket Hurst Short Throw is a %44 reduction.
Factory GM Hurst Short Throw is a %22 reduction.

May have changed in 2012, but I doubt it.

(Aftermarket review: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69196)
(Reduction findings: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ighlight=hurst and http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98484)

Everyone ive talked to, said even though the aftermarket is shorter, they regretted going to it because it has a loose wobbly feeling. Some have found temporary fixes, but the issue seems to return soon enough..Seems like the stock is better engineered (to be expected). many that have had the aftermarket have converted are converting to the stock.
