Wow. There is some good stuff in here...

First, I just want to say that I am pretty sure EVERY SINGLE AFTERMARKET COMPANY ON THE PLANET EARTH IS WAITING ON THE CAMARO. There is going to be SO MUCH STUFF out there for us to choose from, that we should get our own review's going... including how-to's, video clips, etc. I've done this in the MINI community and its a great resource to have.

Anyway: As for my mods, they break down like this...

1) Kick A$$ alarm/immobilizer system - I want my car to stick around!
2) Wheels & Tires - BBS LM's & Pilot Sport PS2's
3) Exhaust - Borla most likely...
4) Ceramic Coating of the Headers by Jet-Hot Inc.
5) Professional Detailing of Paintjob to remove swirls etc. from factory
6) Suspension Updgrades: Koni FSD Struts & Swaybar (or GMPP upgrade if available)
7) GMPP Hot Cam
8) Denso Iridium Spark Plugs (awesome product!)
9) Intake?
10) Custom Upholstery - Alcantra seat covers and alcantra headliner
11) Custom interior lighting - easy mod that looks really good when done right.

On the long-term 'maybe list' is the supercharger kit.

so would a rollcage and slicks lol! Just messing with ya!

I'm leaving mine as is for awhile until something on the aftermarket comes out that i think would make it look better than it already will.

 HA! Changed my mind again!

Rollcage made me think: Subframe connectors...

and some sort of FI. Probably Supercharging (Vortech, Paxton), maybe Turbo (if any it'll be STS)...

But all of that is a LONG way off. I, unlike many people it seems...Like a stock car...

Ok, I might be stupid, but does that stand for Lamborghini Style Door?

If so, I disagree, I think it would look great. I actually considered looking into it.

I googled....and I have to say LSD can go on anything it seems....

but I'm gonna lean towards EllwynX on this one, I think it would look pretty neat, if the Mustang looks good with them, then so can a Camaro (though, anything done to a Mustang will make it better...)

I don't really see the point of having the doors open up like that. Sure, it looks kinda cool, but all-in-all it's just another thing to break. And when it does break, you better hope you're not in the process of getting into the car or you could be looking at some serious injuries.

It's one thing to have Lambo doors on a tricked out Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade, but on one where the only upgrade/change is the grill....well, the doors just seem out of place.

The Mustang looks a little odd too, not necessarily bad, just different.

As for the Camaro, I think that the Lambo doors would look better on the Camaro than the Mustang (for example) because of the "shoulder" on the door. The Camaro's cabin is a little "inset" from the sides of the car, so the door doesn't have to go out so far past vertical. I know doors on a Lamborghini don't go straight up either, but they are closer to vertical than those shown on the 'Stang in the pic above. The further away from vertical you get the odder it looks.

The thing that has always got me about the "lambo" doors is that they don't open the same way as a Lamborghini.... The Lamborghini doors don't pull out first and then raise.. they go straight up.
Plus i think it's been done to death and kind of cheapens the car... not a mod i'd do to such a great looking beast!!

I'm not a HUGE fan of Lambo doors....but I have to say I'd like to get them on my present Camaro, I !!!!HATEEE!!! when people park a foot away from you and you look like a damn idiot squeezing in there. Them doors are just too d*mn big....

As for mods....I think I will wait a little bit to hear the reviews on the new mods coming out, I'm always an impulse spender but I want to make this car perfect.

Can anyone say "parking garage" and damage to the top back of the doors? Ouch...

Looks like those doors are wings. I agree w/ the cabin being inset and how it might look pretty neat. I wouldn't mind seeing one done.

Even more reason to do it. To be different.

Regarding it being 'done to death'... I've never once (aside from an auto show) seen a vehicle with that style door. In my area, at least, it would get a LOT of attention for being unique.

I can't say I've ever been in a parking garage with ceilings that low.

I know for a fact that most parking garages (95%+) have at least 12 foot ceilings. Slabs for most walls concrete and otherwise come in blocks/sheets of 8 feet tall. When you design a new room for a home or a new house, you either go 8 foot ceilings, 12 foot or 16 foot. Anything that's in denominations of 4. 8 foot is the minimum but you can have 24 foot ceilings or 32 if it's vaulted.

I don't mind Lambo doors but the doors that I have yet to see on anything and would love to have (You heard it here first) are mini-van style doors. Have a hidden track on the inside of the car the door opens straight out far enough to slide back. It required a ton of fabrication if I'm not mistaken but very possible. I got a quote for my eclipse to have someone do the job (he hadn't heard of it before) and it was around 6500 bucks a door. I think that would be the ultimate door mod since no one in the world has it (that I know of).

It has been my dream mod just because I'd be the first in the world with something. A unique idea that I came up with.

I hate modifications. Anyone has rebuilt an old car and found stupid added spare parts instead of the original ones knows how it feels to get a car after an ******* who didn't pay respect to the original car.

makes me crazy to see people adding a radio, a roof top or anything stupid on original jeeps for example

Really? Most the homes in my neighborhood are just like mine. 9ft ceilings (basement, main level, and upstairs). My in-laws house has 9 ft ceilings in the basement and upstairs, with 10 foot ceilings on the main level. It's been awhile since I was in school, so my math might be a little rusty, but neither 9 or 10 ft ceilings are "multiples" (demoninations) of 4.

Anyway, back on topic.
