I approach Camaro owners all the time to invite them into our car club. Quite often, the V6 owners act intimidated or embarassed about their car, saying "Yeah, but it's only a V6". I quickly point out that it's a 323 Hp V6 that gets incredible gas mileage. I also discuss some of the mods available that will rip the tires off the rims if they choose to.
GM did an outstanding job on this car; from the base model to the Z/28. There's no need for any owner to be sensitive about their car, and no reason for any of us to put the others down. If every car had to please evey person, we'd be driving around in little grey bubble-cars that farted rose petals (aka the Volkswagon Beetle...)!

That said, one of the issues I see on this (and any) forum is when someone posts pics of their car with the latest mod, and asks several thousand people for their opinions...
Now you've left yourself open to a full-frontal shotgun blast to the face!!!You had better be thick-skinned and ready for several thousand "WTF???'s".

The S10 forum is really bad about name calling. And it's even in the forum rules not to but the mods there defend those that do. You wouldn't believe some of the things said to me when I posted a picture of my Camaro in the off topic section. It's mostly a bunch of under 33 year olds that have no respect for anyone else. It's really sad when you think about them becoming our future leaders

Couldn't disagree more on the exhaust comment. Of the 6 Mustangs I've owned (all V8s), everyone complimented the deep rumble they had from the factory. I had my SS Camaro two days and the guys at work were calling it an electric car. GM failed miserably on the exhaust system. Went aftermarket within the same week. You have your opinion, but I really can't see how anyone with an unbiased opinion could make the same assessment about the exhaust that you did.
