That'll work. Be sure to clean it really well after sanding. Scotchbright pads work well to scuff up plastic (instead of using sandpaper).

Yep that should work. I have painted several plastic parts like that. Clear it good and a couple days later wax and polish it for a nice turn out...

Oh yeah and like Low RS said Post some pics.

hey guys, im thinking about buying the scoop and rain tray and getting them all setup with the new bolts, washers and lock nuts to bolt it right in to where all you need to do is cut the hole and the hood liner. what do you think, would this help some one with the install? I would not charge any extra for the parts, just the fab on the rain tray and changing out the bolts, that would be around 50.00. plus the shipping to you.
if anyone is interested just pm me and we will get you fixed up.

I would think so, the 2014 has the same strut brace. may have to go to the chevy dealer and look at one to see.

Metal Blade. More teeth is for metal less is for wood. Right about in the middle is good for Aluminum. Aluminum is soft and tends to get stuck in the teeth easy if you get too high of a count on the number of teeth. Good luck.

no problem, the blades are standard metal cutting blades, nothing special. just take your time and it will be fine.

That would look sweet, but wouldn't it ruin the cowl induction effect?

Also as far as measurements go the 16 3/8 from the top of the hood, do I line the top of the template up with that mark or the top of the cut to that mark
