The car is faster and sounds way better. I recently went to a local closed course for a driver improvement course (wink). Man did the car run well and oh man is the ZL1 an awesome car. If you haven't had your ZL1 on a closed course, you should put it on your list.
Sounds exactly like what I need to get. I have just the rotofab on right now, had the ported Tb on but took it off cause I didn't like it.
I don't wanna tune and I run only 93 octane, doing the 5 percent pulley sounds like it would be perfect for me.
Can you tell me exactly what I need to get to do this mod? Is it just the pulley or do I need supporting mods along with it to install it?
Thanks....

Thank you for your interest in JRE ZL-1 Performance packages.

Go here http://www.jreperformanceparts.com/g...ulley-kit.html

Select the ARP bolt, and 5% pulley and check out.

You will need an LS Harmonic balancer puller and installer tool and a torque wrench along with a friend to hold the flywheel while torquing the bolt.

Ted.

Thank you! So when going there I see I also need the ati super damper as well in addition to the bolt and 5 percent pulley , is that correct?
Do I need a different belt? And just 93 octane is good for this, I don't need to do torco ?

Yes you need the ATI Damper
No you do not need a belt.
Yes 93 octane works well with this package.
No you don't but you can do torco in small doses for a few more ponies.

How do you keep the motor from moving in an automatic car. Thinking about doing this and do you just put it in gear or what? Always had stick cars before this one. Sorry for the stupid question.

Some say just use a prybar on the Torque converter bolts.. I bought one of these in case I ever want to do it.. Bolts in place of starter

Just wanted to check back with you now that you have had these mods installed for awhile. Stock drive ability being a 10 , where would you put your drive ability 1-10 being that your not tuned with these mods, Do you feel as you have lost some drive ability at all?
Do you feel that a tune would benefit your mods in anyway?
I was told today by a tuner that the stock injectors are already just about at there capacity at the cars stock level and should be replace when replacing with any size pulley including the 5 percent, hmmm..........
I really want to do exactly what you have done and already have the intake but I am Put off a bit cause I've Also been told by the same guy that netting the 40-50 rwhp with this package that is claimed is very unlikely without tuning. Hopefully Ted will chime in.
I would appreciate anymore details you can give me and anything else you can answer from above.
Thanks.....

This was 2 years ago but still valid http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...&highlight=ZL1

The injectors are good up to a 10% crank pulley, anything more needs larger injectors.

Just a quick question around crank pulley upgrades, What effect installing a 5% over drive pulley and a bypass valve adjustment which increase boost by 1 to 1.5 psi on top on the 5% pulley MOD. will it need a tune and adding a CAI as well.
