Can't wait for more updates. Still slowly putting away some funds to do this same swap.

If they do engine swaps in SS camaroo, why wouldn't u be able to add whatever engine u wanted? The displacement might be different but all Ls engines have same dimensions. Your statement makes zero sense

We'll see where I get with funding when I'm ready. Would really like to do a full swap with twin turbos when it's time, but that might have to wait until later.

UPDATE: we have been set back a few days. The guy that Is getting my other Camaro fixed is busy this week and the next week. so I wont have my backup car to drive until we get it running.... smh
So, this puts us having to wait until we take the car to the guy on the 8th before we can start the swap since I wont have a car until my other gets the anti-theft fixed.. We should be taking the motor/trans out of the car this week and getting everything replaced that needs to be before we put it in the car. hopefully we can have everything out of the SS and ready to go into my car as soon as my other DD is fixed, that way when I get the other car we can go straight to work and hopefully have it done by the 27th.

* WE ARE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT MODULES/WIRING HAS TO BE CHANGED FROM THE V8 TO THE V6 AS WELL.

He has to wait til the 8th to start the swap because of an issue (read post #119).

OP: Finally someone is doing this! I have been wanting to see this done but everybody always says there is no point, just trade in for an SS, and that's what people end up doing. Excited to see how this turns out! I mean it only took 5 years for this to be done lol.

Ok OP I've been a nay-sayer the whole time, (and I still think you are best not to bother and just get a v8 car), but I saw this today and thought you might need it. The guy may be a good reference for if (and when) you run into problems. Sorry to say you are no longer the first known to attempt it but you still have a chance to be the first to complete it... Best of luck.

Update:I know it has been awhile since I have posted, but good news.. We have got my Daily Driver running and ready to swap over the insurance for time being. So as soon as we pick up the car tomorrow we are going to check all of the fluid levels make sure it's ready to drive and then get stuff switched over to the replacement. We should be starting the swap by the end of this week. I can't wait to get this started. Let's try to make this the first complete swap!
