Is this system available for automatic L99's? If so what mods need to be done?

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to provide some info pertaining to questions I had on this kit. I just ordered it on Friday and it should be at my door in 2-3 weeks (could be earlier).

First off, Hellion's response rate is fantastic. Anytime I needed Jeff or John, they were there to take my call. Not so much on the emails but talking on the phone is better anyway right? Pick up the phone and give them a call whenever you need something. Very helpful.

Here are my plans:

2014 Camaro SS 1/LE

- Hellion Top Mount TT Tuner Kit (no ball bearing, no options)
- I am going to get the downpipes ceramic coated on my own. Nothing against Hellion's coating, but to alleviate any risk during shipping (can't always trust UPS).
- Catless Midpipes: John from Hellion suggested the JBA 1812SY catless midpipes as he knew for sure that they will work with the downpipes (this is what he used on the test car).
- I contemplated going 3" catback (SW ZL1 retro-chambered of course). I decided to save the coin as John told me that there was not a 'worthy' difference in power going 3" as long as the exhaust in free flowing (hence the JBA catless). I have the NPP.
- Supporting mods will be: KB BAP (i'd recommend the ZL1 fuel pump if you don't have a 1LE), Snow stg. 2 Meth, AEM Tru-boost, AEM UEGO Wideband, Diablosport Trinity T-1000. Hoping to break the 700RWHP number on the stock LS3. Still contemplating an FI cam.

Hope this helps anyone thinking about this system. I cannot wait! Going to take my time in getting everything together though. Be patient if you can, do plenty of research on what exact supporting mods you want. You'll thank yourself later. Let me know if you have any questions.

-Matt
Thank you Matt. We try to keep up with our emails. If anyone has any questions please feel free to call. 505-873-4670.

We can send either twin 55mm or 62mm Precision turbos standard.

We have upgrades available for Ball bearing as well as Gen 2 62mm and 64mm compressor wheels.

Jeff has been wonderful in helping set me up. (I sold my agp kit to get this btw)

I received the kit and it's just waiting in the garage for install as my engine is almost done getting forged. Going to be taking lots of pictures of the install and finished product with videos and all.

The quality of the parts are honestly a lot cleaner than the agp. (I did not get the ceramic coating option.) everything is labeled and nicely packed.

I went with the upgraded 62/66 precision ball bearing turbos.

Changing plugs looks like a wee bit of a task.
Other than that super clean set up.
What advantages does a top mount have over a mid mount?

Did you install that AGP kit? I'm curious as to why you went from one TT setup to the other.

Hello.

We have built both systems and still utilize a mid mount design on some of our other kits. The main advantage of a top mount is the visual aspect of the system. We had many requests for a top mounted system from our customers. We were told that they wanted to be able to pop the hood and show off their investment. With that redesign, we also included the cutting edge V-band turbine inlet Precision turbos.

We had a lot of success with our top mount Mustang system, so we decided to adapt that to the LS powered Camaros!
