You want a power windows delete? OK now GM needs to make 2 different wiring harnesses and 2 different sets of door panels (One with buttons and one with a piece that fills in the holes where the buttons were and also add some holes for the window cranks. Not to mention a whole different gear assembly on the inside so that you can crank the window down.)

You want an A/C delete? Now GM has to stock 2 different sized serpentine belts and different HVAC control knobs without the little snowflake icon. Also have to fill in the hole where the AC button is.

No onstar/XM? Now you have to retool the line to stamp out another different roof panel, because putting a plug where the sharkfin goes would look stupid, and people would probably complain about having the 'ugly shark fin' even when they dont have XM/Onstar, so you would need a 'plain' roof panel.

Every option you want deleted or radically changed from a regular SS Camaro is dramatically reducing your chances of getting a Z/28 at a price point that makes it attainable.

GM could leave the base features...I would be happy with a suspension option and a small V-8. Someone called it the Camaro "LE" option...works for me.

Not exactly true, Nissan has a plant in Mexico. I believe the Sentra is imported from Mexico. Civics are built in Canada.

And not disagreeing with your point on bring more jobs back to the U.S., just stating that Honda and Nissan (not sure about Toyota) are building in Canada and Mexico.

Keep in mind, many countries (unlike Americans) demand that to be considered for purchase you have to have created jobs there.

But back to the topic.............................when is that Z28 coming? Anyone know?

The way it is now, I agree. But I found out about these guys when GM made an investment and partnered up a couple years ago. Basically trash=ethanol. Pretty cool stuff.

wat kind of a camaro guy are u?? i understand wat ur saying, but if they build the Z, its not gonna make the HP any less on ur SS is it? the z is gonna be in the same league as the GT500/cobras, and the camaro will have a model to compete with the high end stangs! and even tho theres about a .0001 chance tht ill get one, i still wanna see them out and about!!
