I learned to drive a stick on an old air field on Wheeler AFB in 1976 w/ 2 broken wrists when I was 15... LOL!!!! I learned to drive a 3sp column too... Then moved on to motorcycles. My Dad wanted me to know how to drive/ride everything we owned.

I enjoy rowing my own to this day...

More curious as to when they will actually shut your copy and paste crap down. See the copy from the first post. This clown has been at this for over a year now.

You're a funny guy. You have all the "fun" you want with your "automatic" (everything done for you), and I'll have "fun" with my manual. I understand that you may not have the ability to coordinate the clutch and gearshift as you once used to. Age happens to everyone. Do you still actually drive the car?? I figured that you would be the first one in line for those new computer driven cars. After all, they will be "better" for those who think like that. And then someone will ask you if you're still driving your own car. You are???!!!!! Childish!!!!! Let the computer do it!!!!!

Also just spammed the ZL1 exclusive post.

its a forum bot.... On topic I drove manuals for probably 15 years and got tired of them so an auto was a good choice for me. There are rare times I would like a manual but nowhere enough to warrant one. Besides I have never driven a manual that I actually liked the feel of the shift , always notchy or stiff or something but I can be kind of picky about things too!

I hear you on the notchy shifts.

The new MT is quite hard until the oil temperature is up to normal working conditions. But then it's fast, precise and butter sweet. You would love it.

My wife

But get this - When I was looking for my Camaro and discussing it with her, it was 'decided' that I would get an auto so she would be able to drive it as well. So now I have an L99. But I love my car and make sure to tell her every day! (The car)

I have had it 4 months now and she is terrified to drive it. It is not just the power/noise, she is convinced she will not be able to see over the dashboard. She has only sat in the passenger side, which is NOT height adjustable like the driver's seat.

Honestly....I am happier this way

I love driving a manual. My wife says she can do it but she is not good at it. I don't know to what extent she means when she says that she is not good at it but it is what it is. We have been together for 15yrs now and I have still never seen her drive one. I made a deal with her when I bought my car. I knew she would want to drive it so I told her I would find an auto if I could have a supercharger. Well, that's where we are to this day. She drives it once in a while but doesn't get too rowdy with it because it makes her nervous.
