On the other hand... now that we have computers... it's even easier to bull shit your way into making people think you are more than you really are.

Nice '55 210! My first car was a '55 Bel Air. Busted my a$$ to save up the $2500 to buy it at 17 and spent every paycheck on it for nearly 2 years after that fixing all the crap that was wrong when I bought it.

Fast forward 18 years and I'm finally at a point where buying a new $30k car only made a tiny impact on the monthly budget.

Not sure how these 18 year olds are doing it but best of luck to them. Hard work or rich parents, either way...kids sure seem to have it easier these days...

am i the only one who found that ugly?

i damn sure would not want my son/daughter funding their "toys/cool stuff/omgnewxbox!" with their fathers money that was meant to keep them and their mom/siblings taken care off after i was gone.
My father was never there for me, he never paid for anything. My mother was well off on her own, but i do not live with her, never have. I lived with my grandmother(who was also well off on her own and let me keep the money for my own bidding..muhahaha). Me and my mom never really got along, but these past two years me and her finally started to talk. So her co-signing my loan was a very big deal for me and her. Think what you want, i don't care how "ugly" you may think it is. But since i never really knew the guy, his money is a big "thank you" and a help toward my new toys.

Anyways, i am done defending myself. No one will believe me anyways and I'm tired of having to talk a bit about my personal life just to try to justify myself.

I'm 17, will be 18 next Monday! and i have a 2SS/RS, 2003 Cadillac CTS, and a 2008 Chrysler 300c heritage edition. All cars are paid off except for the Camaro which should be within this year. I paid for them all on my own. It's what i saved my money for since i was just a little kid...for a nice car, ended up with 3, and I'm not bragging. So i really don't see how he is. Point is, you can get pretty much what ever you want at no matter the age if you set your mind to it and get shit done. Hater's will be hater's and they disgust me. How about you be happy for another fellow Camaro member instead of being a dick?

For everyone else, i see many people on here saying "hey i just got a Camaro" so why can't this kid without being bashed on? seriously?
Been there but I don't think I could come out saying I paid for them all on my own. Someone had to pay the mortgage, bills, insurance to start, feed me, clothes, etc etc... I could definitely afford more car back then than I can now earning, and being taxed on, 3 times the salary...

The Camaro is in the garage in storage because it's winter so i wouldn't be able to take a pic of all 3 together. Even if i do that though a lot of people probably still won't believe me. All i can say is, my mommy drives a charger, and dis likes the 300, and want's more power out of a car then a v6 caddy, and the Camaro she co-signed a loan for me. I don't know what else to say
Nothing else to say. Enjoy your toys. I'd just say to put some money away and don't over extend yourself. To pay that Camaro off in less than a year is great. Maybe sell those other cars. Why do you need 3?

AND there it is. So your dads SSI money paid for two of your cars (NOT YOU)and you are working 2 jobs and got a loan to buy the SS.

It only took you about 20 posts to finally admit that. We didn't mean to gang up on you but if you had said this from the beginning and that now you have two jobs and got a loan to buy the Camaro we would have had a lot more respect for you.

That said, as for working two jobs to buy a $40k car at 18, thats a whole nother topic we have covered at length here but in short I could've done the same thing at your age but looking back I am extremely glad I didn't.

That's what I'm doing. I'm selling the Cadillac which will pay off the loan, and possibly the 300 because i want to do some performance stuff to the Camaro....but id miss the 300

You have followed this with several posts, trying to explain your situation, but let's remember the statement you started with. "I paid for them all on my own."

Then, in later posts you tell of the SSI checks that were not needed by your rich family. So the truth is, you got this money from your departed father. Even if you are currently working two PART-TIME jobs while living with your wealthy relatives, you did not work hard to earn the money to buy the CTS and 300 that you bragged about being "paid off". I am calling on you too. Your claim of independent success is just as bad as the OP.
