Oh it's definitely daily drivable, I can drive it anytime. Still gets above 30mpg on highway trips driving 60-65mph. I just don't drive it everyday. I have a 2017 F-150 ecoboost with the new 10speed transmission that I love driving. We also just bought a '17 Jeep Cherokee V6 and still have my lifted '99 4x4 S10 Blazer too. The Camaro got demoted to more of a weekend warrior now.

What modifications have you done to the transmission, if any, in order to handle all this power? What tune modifications have been done? I am interested in this information.

The transmission is totally stock. The only thing I've done is put in a triple disc converter from CircleD and a high flow transmission fluid thermostat/tru-cool 40k cooler. I bypassed the factory radiator cooler entirely. As for the tune, I couldn't tell you what GPI did but MagnumForceGB has been helping me tweek things like shift times and mph. I'm no tuner but I'm learning a little bit. Probably just enough to be dangerous lol.

I finally found a driveshaft loop to fit my car. This is the Metco brand for the SS, and fits manual and automatic both so I figured it would have to work. It ended up fitting very well and I couldn't be more happy with it. I tried the BMR loop but it just wouldn't fit right. Metco works great on the v6.

I also bought an SJM line lock. Working on installing that. This will make my burnouts much easier at the track. I should have went with the Hurst style though because this one won't clear the strut bar, the line has to run along the strut tower right where the bar sits. Kinda bummed about that but I decided to just leave the bar off. Worthless weight anyway really, I just liked it for the looks. Now I have to find something to cover the bolt holes where the strut bar rubbed the paint off. Maybe some washers and bolts or something.

Well the time has come to finally get into a true drag setup. I ordered a set of wheels from Pro Stock John, who I'd recommend to anyone looking for drag wheels. Went with the new Recluse wheels from Race Star Industries. 17x4.5 in the front and 17x10.5 in the rear. The wheels look killer, and are direct drilled for conical lug nuts, which is so much better than the old shank style lugs the original race stars used.

Ordered all new M&H Racemaster tires too. 325/45R17 drag radials in the rear and their brand new 4.5/28R17 radial ribbed front runner. They said the radial front runner uses the exact same tire molds as the bias tire so it looks identical but the plys are constructed as a radial. Hopefully it will be a little less sketchy on the street than its bias brother. But being a skinny ribbed tire, I can drive through the water box without dragging water up to the line. I'll still have my 20" TSW setup so I won't drive these on the street much but will on occasion. The tire pic isn't mine I got it off the Web but same tires I ordered except the fronts will be radials. Should get everything mounted up this weekend. The skinnies might shave a tenth or two of my e.t. with the less weight and rolling resistance.
