I was thinking about the entire Traction Control System, (including Torque Management, Stabilitrak). I was thinking that the Engine Torque Management in Taz's auto might have caused some of the hesitation. Thankfully it hasn't re-occurred.

I still think Taz should just go with the LSx.

I'm thinking about that route as well but still undecided.

Been watching that build. Torn apart intercooler, ported, with spacer. If you're gonna do that, stroke to 416. Or run it till she blows, then 427.

Missed you at the last AutoX. I assume Superbowl took precendence. Turnout was the lowest I ever experienced at 73. But, that meant a ton of fun runs and still left early. I DVR'd the game and watched as soon as I got home.

We gotta get a couple more C5 peeps to run. Mustangs are slowly increasing their presence.

Yah, stupid game... Lost in two office pools. *safety*

I may make 3/4, but will not be here for 3/18 event. Will they be allowing all cars in the Run-off on 4/15? I ordered the new ZL-1 style 32mm rear swaybar and rear lower control arms. Plan to install them and re-align end of March. Got my tires and new TPMS sensor for my intermittent rear. I contacted Mod Industries and just waiting to wear out a little more meat before I have them mounted.

I was talking to Jon at CCW and he got a stock camaro SS to corner a lot better than modded ones. He stuck on custom 18x11s he built as a proof of concept and it held in front cornering. He sent me some vid clips. Not street legal since it sticks out of the fender a little, but works.

So many projects, so little time...

As long as you qualified with 7 regular season races, you should be good for run offs.

Yeah, for auto x, 18s is the way to go. Shoot me the clip. I want to see go they got 11s on the front without rubbing. Biggest I heard in front was 285's. 315's all around would be perfect!

Oracle Lights update and wheel.

Well got my replacement Oracle V2 halo today. Was excited until I opened the box. They sent me only one replacement halo. I guess I am suppose to install this one and send the defective ones back and then they will send me the second one. This is gonna take a while before I have it up and running.

I did get some really strong velcro to velcro up the controller. The controller has been bouncing around under the light selector that some of the wires have come disconnected. I have 2 red, 1 black and a remote control cable disconnected from the box.

Also noticed that the footwell lights are coming loose from the dashboard. Purchased some permenant double sided tape and hoping its strong enough to keep the lights mounted firmly.

Good news is that the wheel is not leaking anymore. Was losing 3-4 pounds of pressure everyday. It was leaking where the hoop and lip was glued and bolted together. They had to disassemble the wheel, reglue and torque the bolts back down.

Anyone going to the Hawaii Kai car show? Its not this weekend, but the following weekend.

The event doesnt start until 5:30pm or later. I cant remember for sure, but we all pre-stage behind Tesoro gas station until its time to stage our cars. Maybe someone else can chime in on the start time.

I found this picture on the internet.

http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../photo_16.html

At Camarofest 2010, he said he got "Danny" to test the rental with the 18" and it felt more neutral and a lot better than stock. I forgot to ask which "Danny" since there's many pro drivers. It appeared to perform better than prepped suspensions with the big typical 20" staggered setups. Wheels were 18x11 and 18x12 using hoosiers. Jon said this was the best way to get the "fat pig" front end to corner. Stick huge @ss tires on the front.

The second red Camaro is stock rental with 18"

Here's the pics Jon sent.

I've had my issues with AAC even though they have lifetime warranty. Constantly sending back and waiting for replacements or paying for advanced shipments and waiting for credit refund. Good luck with your lights. Hit or miss.

Even when using heavy duty 3M mounting tape, stuff will eventually sag due to interior heat and constant weight. I would use some type of bracket with velco tape and macguyver it.

Gonna try to make Hawaii Kai.

I have had my controller mounted right under my headlight knob (probablyin the same area) since I installed my halo's back in July. I just used 4 strips on the back and held it for a few min in place and haven't had any problems with it.

Thanks, i'll try that. I spoke w the installer and one of the wires that fell off from the contoller was the grounding wire for the footwell. Said that getting the footwells up and running was no problem. Just wasnt installed well since he was more worried about the halos. ACC is closed due to Mardi Gras, so wont be able to contact them until mid week.

I'll be at the Hawaii Kai car show too. I've gotta run my dogs at the dog park across the street first.

Hey yeah was talking to Dean about the Hawaii Kai car show he said we can't enter the parking lot till 7pm so some guys usually meet by the dog park prior.

Was wondering did anyone from the west side wanna meet up at like Pearl City walmart or somewhere before and cruise down together?
