Diablo predator U7194
Just installed Solo Cat back exhuast on my L99 and will soon be installing a Cold Air Inductions CIA. After reading numerous threads on AFM, shift points etc... I would like to hear from those with experience on the above tuner or other tuners that are better or comparable.
Only other Mod I may do is a CAM down the road, not in the near future. Is it worth the coin? Is there something better out there? TIA, Mike |

The Predator gives you the owner the ability to manipulates many parameters like fuel, timing, shift points, shift firmness, rev limiter, Speed limter, Fans, etc. Also Gives a Shop like mine the ability to send you a tune file that you can load in your computer. You can read and clear codes on your own with it. You can data log parameters necessary for tuning then email the log files to me and I can make accurate changes instead of guessing. Don't overlook the Trinity either, it is a complete guage package all rolled in to one. Ted.

Yeah, a lot of people try to sway you against handhelds to get a custom dyno tune. But you can't reflash your car back to stock or modify your tune with each upgrade any easier.

Had a preditor for my 04 cobra .. loved it ... loved it as well because it made it so easy to pull my own codes if needed (used it to pull codes in my other FORD as well).

This is easily one of the best bang for the buck mods. Not only does it give you an increase in performance with the tune, but will wind up being a very valuable tool in the future if you ever throw a check engine light and need to read a code. It will also come in hand if you add any other modifications such as headers where you would need to upgrade your tune as well to account for them. We carry the full line of diablosport and have great results from everyone on them including our own shop cars. If your interested let me know and i'd be more then happy to help you!

I have also been trying to decide if I should buy a Diablo, but I have no experience with this, I was looking at the Diablo trinity, I'm still undecided what to do, I will be adding headers, exhaust and a CAI next spring.

The Predator comes with tunes in it right? If I add headers and CAI are there tunes built in for that or do I need to get a custom tune made?

Yes ,the Predator comes with the tunes installed right on the unit. So basically you just plug in the unit and upload the tune and you are good to go! no custom dyno tune needed. |

How do you turn off the AFM with the diablo or does it automatically turn the AFM off when it is plugged in?
