ZL1 concern

Chevrolet gave instructions about engine break-in. One of these instructions was not to get the rpm pass 3000 or 4000 rpm. So here is my question: what would guarantee me that the guys at the loading docks wouldn't abuse the car? I'm not saying that they normally do but I'm really afraid for my future car and I don't want anyone to harm the engine or damage it, thank you
I fear that this thread might get out of hand. the question is not about break-in procedures, its about others abusing the car. thanks for your contributions everyone!!

It isn't very likely that this would occur and if it did there would not be any damage to the engine.

The people who handle this car must have a special internal license. While there's no guarantee anyone can control themselves when behind the wheel...I think it's reasonable to assume these specially-qualified people are more likely to take care of it.

I choose to be optimistic about it...for the following reason:

It's better than the Boss, right? Well us Ford guys all live by the saying, "Drive it like you stole it." It will be fine.

I wouldn't worry about a few trips past 4000rpm during the break-in. Steady high rpm wooldnt be good but a rip here and there is good for it.

That's probably the worst way to break in these modern engines...
going "easy" for a few thousand miles is old school myth.
You want to seat the rings as soon as possible that means wide RPM ranges (obviously when the car is up to temp), not cruising at the same RPM and heat + heat cycles etc in the engines first days... read up on it

I used to see dock workers drive vehicles off a container and they do drive crazy when they see a nice looking fast car. They wont do it for vans or suvs unless they look sporty. They did it to my SS back in '98 and im sure theyre still doing it.
