To bump an old thread again:

Does anyone have a comparison between the SS (2010 FE3) and the ZL1/1LE (FE4/FE5) trailing arms and toe links?

Toe Links on the ZL1/1LE are basically the same arms, but have spherical bearings instead of bushings
The lower control arms are the same
The Trailing arms i'm not 100% sure, but i think they are the same, the only difference might be the bolt size used in them, but i think they are the same.

The ZL1 also uses a spherical in the knuckle where the trailing arm connects, the SS and 1LE use bushings.

is that was you wanted to know?

Much appreciated.

I've been playing on the GMParts Direct website, and it appears that the part numbers for the trailing arms are the same. The toe rods have different part numbers based on FE2 (V6), FE3/4 (SS), or FE5/6 (ZL1) designations, but it didn't say what was different. The cost for the ZL1 toe rods are a bit higher ($18 vs $60 each). The knuckles didn't have a cost difference (SS vs ZL1) despite coming with different bushings.

More than anything, I'm just trying to see what my best options are for a trailing arm/toe rod (and bushings) package. I have a 2010 SS, and was looking to upgrade things on a car that is used as a daily driver but may see some limited track time.

The FE5/6 toe rods are a great value

Do you know what the part number is for these sphericals, or do I have to purchase a full ZL1 knuckle?

The knuckles are different, i'm not sure if anything else needs to be swapped to install the knuckle, i'd probably opt for poly in that position vs the time and money needed to swap the knuckles.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the info. Now to try to track down a set that aren't BMR...

Sorry that I had to add the watermarks on the pics, I don't feel like having someone post as their own after i spent hours and hours editing these.
Sorry to bump this old thread (but it comes up on google so I wanted to clarify for me and others), but in this picture of the front suspension I think the radius rod is the one in the back, and the longer, beefier, L shaped one is the lower control arm. Right?

That is how Super Chevy has it called out in their article here: http://www.superchevy.com/features/s...ro-suspension/

The main reason I ask is I'm trying to write down the torque's for the bushings I need to re-clock. I am using this thread for torque values (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179690)

They have "Front lower front control arm" and "front lower rear control arm". I'm guessing the larger L shaped one is the front lower front control arm, and the smaller straight arm is the front lower rear control arm (or radius rod according to super chevy)

Please take a look at the attached and correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to add torque values next to make it easy for myself (and others)

Your front lower control arm is actually the radius rod.
