Ah I thought the SS badge is white, oh.... ugh back to Camaro 101 with me. Only the RS has the red badging... .... oh well...
Well you get more for a 2SS, as far as trade value . |

Naw, I like the idea of a better transmission and 391 gears. I also love the black ZL1 rims . Anyway I am sure someone will give you good value on trade as the Camaro seems to keep its value |

Funny, but I was just going through these same mental gyrations a few weeks ago. I saw a beautiful Rubicon, 2012 fully loaded, that Crazy Orange color. Thought about it and went back and forth within my own head. Every time a salesman saw my car they told me I was nuts for wanting to get rid of it. So instead of getting rid of it, I'm in the process of getting the Alpine setup. I'm lucky because my son has a 2010 wrangler sport, my daughter has a 2011 Jeep Liberty and my wife has a Rav4. If I can't get to work in the snow, no one can.

Man this is a tough call, but I suspect that you will sorely miss the Camaro. My wife has a 2012 Unlimited Rubicon and I love driving it, but its about as big of a money pit as the Camaro as far as mods go. Its fun to drive around town and the 12's and higher have a better motor, but I still get the feeling I'm driving a giant lawn tractor around town compared to the car. For me a hard top is required unless its a strictly play toy. Offroad its a blast and can go almost anywhere once you replace the lame factory skid plates and plastic bumpers. My car is coming up on 3 years old with only 11k miles, but I have no plans to sell it. Have an older Silverado to drive for shopping or when the weather gets nasty. Have the Camaro to drive when I want to really enjoy driving or the occasional track day.

I wouldn't do it. I'd rather have an older paid car as a DD first.

Since you're upright in both the camaro and Jeep payments, I'd say trade the jeep for a new one. I don't think your camaro is money wasted. I honestly think my car would be more special if I didn't have (get?) to drive it everyday.
But that's just my opinion. I love my car and don't see myself ever getting rid of it.

If you're not happy with your current Jeep, I'd just try to find a better used one and keep the Camaro. Sometimes it's a pain having two vehicles (I'm a single guy), and I admit it's not the wisest financial decision, but I love the fact that I have options. If the weather sucks or I'm going somewhere where I wouldn't want the Camaro, I take the Jeep. Other times, I'm rolling in the Camaro. They both serve their intended purposes very well and I'd miss either one of them if I had to get rid of one.

Just start driving your car, there's a few more months until winter. Run the crap out of it and have fun with it for 5 years, then set it out front for sale. You say it's almost paid for anyway.
I'm not saying I drive mine any more than you do, but I never thought buying it made good financial sense anyway. |

You're not the first. Plenty have gone from camaros to Jeeps. It's not a bad trade. Just depends on how bad you want to keep your SS.
You'll miss it, that's for sure, it just depends if you're willing to make the trade.
