Hey Guys, i have the v6 camaro so it came out of the factory with regular dino oil. I was just wondering if anyone has used the Penzoil synthetic oil before and what you may have heard about the oil, good and bad. All input will be a great help!

As long as it meets spec I think it would be fine.

I think people get WAY to wrapped up in brand names when it comes to synthetics.......but that's just my opinion of course.

I haven't tried it yet or looked at the specs. I like Penzoil products, though.

Dennis, I'm using Penzoil Platinum, and so is RickRay.... I've read that it's a great oil, and the price is RIGHT

Picked mine up at Walmart @ $20.00 for 4 liters.

Pennzoil Platinum is an excellent oil! It will serve you well.

Thanks guys, RIck i bought it on sale for 23 bucks a jug

Changed the oil, mpg went from 15L/100km to 28L/100km for about the first 100 clicks, now shes at 12L/100km under the same driving conditions

I really like the penzoil . Thanks for the input guys.
PS how long can this oil last?

Pennzoil Platinum is good for 7,500 miles. Use it with confidence. If you plan on following your OLM, which will probably go longer than 7,500 miles, then I would upgrade to the Pennzoil Ultra.

Since the last oil changed in Apr I've done 10000 Km (6200Mi). I think after my Carlisle trip it will be time to change it..
