With the slants of the windows it only made since to stop the sun from beaming in the car. I did a medical waiver for VA, to get the tint to 35%. Still waiting on final paperwork. They will not give you a receipt until you are legal with it.

They take CC, but wont give a receipt. Not sure what that is about. Like I can't show they did the work?

Where is LA tint located? It seems I may have my car by next week so I'd like to get my windows tinted asap.

I was thinking about doing the same, 35% all the way around and dont care about the waiver. I just want all the windows to look the same! Looks sharp!

I only see the four in VA. Woodbridge is the closest I see to you.

I'm having mine done by LA Tint in Sterling on Friday. They quoted me $329... I wonder why they are charging more in Sterling than Fredricksburg?

$500!!!! That tint better cook me breakfast!

Here's what the shop I used states about ceramic tint:

Ceramic Automotive Tint

Our top-tier window film for automobiles. This product offers very high heat rejection without being dark or metallic. Ideal for the driver who wants all of the benefits of tinted windows, without the "tinted" look.

A very classy finish for high-end vehicles.

Personally, I prefer the darker windows....here's mine after they finished this afternoon...for $200...

Tell them you know thw Woodbridge shop did it for 289 for a member on this site. Ask if they will match. I am sure they can call the Woodbridge shop and confirm they did a IOM Camaro for 289. about three weeks ago.

They did quote me 329 on the website as well, but the guy changed it when I got there.

Howdy (that's TEXAN for "HI" ya'll)

Standard (regular) tint should be fine.

Metallic tints are the ones that seem to cause reception issues (from reading)

Ceramics seem to be the top of the line. Very pleased with mine.

ceramic is only good for people who do not want to go with 20% or 5%. it is good for the lighter shades like 35% and up. now i did mine regular 20% all around and 50% front windsheild and its 3m tint. one of the guys here got ripped off for 285 for some cheap stuff. I was thinking of doing my 5% all around like i did the tc but the car sticks out to much figure i will save my self the time and plus the interior is dark so it makes it look darker then it is and also with it being a big car with blind spots why add more.

hi guys, i have come across this thread and i have to upload a small update here - i was checking some tint law info recently and that site mentioned here seems to be a bit outdated, the owner is obviously not updating new info there (e.g. tint law in SC is not allowing 20% light transmittance as it´s stated on that site but 27% now).. so better to check out http://windowtintlaws.org/
if someone will search for the current tintlaw info

I have ceramic tint on my car. It does help keep the interior a little cooler in the summer but don't forget about the windshield. Either tint it or pick up a HeatShield.

I did the ceramic tint as well and love it. best part was getting the front windshield done and a top banner at 5%. No need for the tiny visors anymore...
