well i did this so i should do that and its just a summer toy so if i cant finish it but I want to drive it so I have to finish it so sign the overtime book

If you have the money and all other bills are paid for and you're gonna enjoy it then that's enough justification for me. It's just like any other hobby really...the same way people justifying going to the movies or going skiing or going bowling. If you can afford it and it's fun then it's justified.

Pretty much this. No justification. If discretionary funds are available after I've paid myself and all my bills, and I have a mod I want to do, then I do it. If there are other obligations, then mods cannot be justified.
