Now if only they were made to just snap in place, no holes to cut.

The scanners aren't made specifically for the mail slot, they're made for multiple applications.

no real secret per say, we mark the middle of the scanner and heat the back side with a heat gun.

then we bend it right in the middle, we usually use the plastic grille take out piece as sort of a guide and that its.

Agreed! About time!

Also lacking from the scanner is an ability to interface with the RGB controller AAC gives you.

Wanna run blue?
-click B
-count to 6 and hit C

Wanna run Geen? Do same but count to 3.

It's a separate controller and it can't do any color, so if I want to do white, or amber, or pale blue I can't.

Cool product! Needs a better controller. (working on making my own)

Now only if they came tinted so they would blend in instead of having a bright white piece sticking out of the slot. Hint hint.

About time but I refused to put another one in after I spent so much money on one of these just to have the first five of the LEDs go out. Of course I cant find my receipt so I cant send it back. So go figure.

did you specify to have it prebent?

the yellow wire is a trigger wire for typically brake lights which in this case won't be used. you can tape it up and not use it.
