I dont know guys, with the economy with the way it is, I cant see them
going up much. You can go to about any dealership now and pretty much
name your price, this would not be a smart move on GMs part rite now.

Question for CamaroScotty. My dealer gave me MSRP for my pre-order, but on the order wrote "subject to actual price on invoice at arrival", saying it was basically a disclaimer he was required to write on the order. Since I've preordered, the invoice prices won't change on GM's end, even if my car comes in in September or October, correct? You may have already answered this, but I just like a good straight answer to a direct question.

No, and they are being safe (Hopefully) - I think dealers want to see the invoice before quoting what Chevy tells us is the CORRECT price. If you GOT MSRP, be sure to see the invoice reflecting that number, before leaving the lot.

The Monrooney sticker must still be on the car when you buy it. It has MSRP listed on it so your price will be shown. if you agreed to MSRP then you are covered. Invoice price is another thing all together.

I got an email from GM last night. It shows my dealer's name and has some links to GM web pages. It also says we will not get an increse in the MSRP if anyone orders before March 15th.

Invoice is the cost to the dealer, not MSRP. I would think you are covered based on what I see.

Hope this helps,

-Mark.

Right, I'm getting MSRP, according to my dealer, basically whatever the sticker says MSRP is when the vehicle comes in. When I say invoice, I'm just using the wording my dealer wrote on my order info. They did give me an order sheet, but it doesn't show any option codes or anything for the car. It just says 2010 Chevrolet Camaro at the top, with sale price of $36,230, and then all the other amounts as well (dealer fee, ttl, and deposit). So I'm pretty confident I should be covered, since my preorder price is locked in, according to GM.

Can someone please post a link to the *current* official pricing including packages? I know that the pricing calculator on the site reflects official prices but I need somewhere from GM/Chevy to show the dealer. thx.

Actually, you can go on KBB and find all the prices there, including the DIO's. And everyone trusts KBB!

I have preordered, and I might get a few people mad for my saying this, but I kind of hope they increase the price after march 15th. It will make me feel better for paying MSRP for a new car and then having a bunch of guys get it for way less a few months later. I have never paid this much for a car before, and I already have buyers remorse.:(

It's not a new concept to see prices increase slightly on cars from model year to model year. This increase reflects monetary inflation and materials value fluctuation. You'll see the Camaro's price jump from year to year...don't be surprised.

You're not going to get it right from Chevy at the moment...but they gave it to us. Pricing is as follows:

That's great, and I really appreciate it, but does my dealer have access to this from GM? I just need to make sure that my order is being placed as a bonafied sold order and not a fleet order.

You're dealer should definitely have pricing information. If they don't, they're either idiots(as Blur would like to say), or they're lying to you.
