One more option that might work. Over on DIYMA, a member there provided a solution that sounds promising. Anyone wanna give it a shot?

Has anyone just tried a straight 12 volt time delay relay? Keep the radio on a 5 seconds longer than the amp? (for turn "off" pop)

The pop is so faint, I have a Durango that is about the same way with a factory Alpine system.
