Every model dies down. Some stay timeless in terms of design, which this car certainly will be one of those. No mainstream car has been this attention grabbing in a long time. So yes it will die down, then we will get the next generation and start it all over again.

I think the Plain Jane's will just be another Camaro... But the 2SS/RS will still be Super Cool in a year.

I live in Houston 4th Largest city in the Country and I see maybe 2 or 3 a week... and I see lots of cars driving to and from work in Houston Traffic. Until they are on lots and MSRP I don't think you will see the streets flooded with them...

And if the Government has their way The latest resurgence of the Muscle Car will be just a memory in a few years ...Or we will be saying something like " Remember when the Camaros and Challengers used to have 430HP in stead of 290HP...Or something like that... might happen to meet the MPG Average they want to pass! I hope not...

I remember seeing the new camaro design years ago in transformers and thought it was absolutely hot. now, some 3 or so years later that the final car has been released, i think the car is even hotter. so in a year and many more, i cant imagine a more amazing looking car than the new camaro except a newer camaro maybe.

So will the fact that the Camaro may end up as just another car--if you were in the market to buy a camaro and hadn't yet bought one would that influence your decision to buy one?

after the hype cools down, if there are many on the road it will be just another camaro unless the person does something to distinguish it from the rest of the camaros they will still get looks and it will still be a hot car to look at just like alot of other cars on the road thathave been around and still look hot.

The ones that "transformed" will remain special.

Hiney1 has one that transformed.
Speed74SS has one that transformed thanks to Lingenfelter.
Mine is going to be Transformed if it ever shows up...

In 1 year ... it will probably still be pretty popular. After 5, I doubt it

I still give credit to a nice 05-09 mustang. (They can sh-- can the 2010s), also the Chanllengers have been out for quite some time and they are still rare, and I give credit to those too!

If you are buying the Camaro to have the "next new fad", I am sorry, it will fade but the fact remains that it will likely always be a "hot" car. These are friends/family cars... still pretty hot to me!

The Big 3 are making some cool stuff right now, nothing stays that way, if it did, we'd still be driving this:

Maybe that wouldn't be so bad...

I think it'll take two...maybe three years for the hype to die down...this car is HOT.

but...at that point...maybe something reignite interest? Who knows...
I think, given a few decades, this car will become very collectible. It's the first chapter in a new story in an epic series....is you will.

This will aways be a hot car. Will it be collectable depends on where you are from in the counrty and what options your car has as well as what color it is. From reading these forums I would say there are alot of Camaro's in Florida, Texas & California. I live 2 hours from the plant & only seen 3 different camaros pass me on the road since being introduced in the spring.
