High Oil pressure?

Hi guys, I have a 2010 2lt camaro, so after the last oil change in the dealer, my oil pressure is staying at max(70) when its on gear(Mine is manuel gear) when I pıt it on N, its go down to the middle of the gauge. But when I put it back on gear it jumps back to the max again. I asked many place about it but no one has an answer for the Solution. So please help me with this if anyone had the same thing in this forum.

Your cars age may mean the sensor is bad for the gauge a common thing to happen to cars with age.

Another thing, The V6 and V8 take way different amounts of oil on a refill --- did you double-check they filled it to the correct level for your V6?

How can I make sure if the sensor is bad? because its not staying at the same place always, When I put the gear on N (Neutral) the needle goes down to middle of gauge which is 30, but when I put it bak on the gear it jumps back to max (70)

Yes I checked first I saw they put too much oil in it and I took the extra oil out of engine to keep the oil on ideal level, but its still showing max oil pressure when driving (even when I drive slow). its a V6

Sounds like your oil pressure sending unit may be bad. Just installed one on an 09 Tahoe that was doing the same thing today.

There is a GM service bulletin on this that says it is normal behavior:

My LFX does this when it is cold.

Is there any way that I can make sure that it is the problem? my needle is not stuck at the same place all the times, it moves when I put the gear on N it goes down to 30 psi, when I put it back on the gear even with 2k rpm it shows 70 psi. Thank you

THANK you for the comment. Mine is the same from last summer when I got oil change from the dealer. I mean no difference even when the weather is warm.

Sorry, should have been more clear - by “when cold”, I meant cold engine / just started / before reaching operating temperature.
