Have you tried the helmut on while seated in the car? I'm 5-8 and the helmet pushes against the sunroof.

Yeah, the cars with the sun roof are lower inside & tougher with a helmet. I usually have to lower my seat more than usual when wearing a helmet. The first one I ordered arrived..........way too big & had to send it back. Hubby just said the replacement just arrived. I'll try it on when I get home & hopefully it will be just right.

RaceQuip is a bargain brand, but quality products.

Bell, Simpson, and G-Force are more well known brands and a little pricier.

If we signed up for the 3 day pass does that get us in for the Camaro Cross as well? I know the cost is covered by that but not sure if I need to register separately as well.

If it's $100 to register.... will they provide additional car insurance... like the AutoCross?

It does not cost anything to register, but you will need to purchase a drivers wristband for 100 at the event which will allow you to run drags as well and is good for both Friday and Saturday

We are offering additional insurance if you run the road coarse on Thursday but that's a whole different game than running around some cones at much slower speeds.

Ok. I didn't want to race / wreck the Pace Car... but if it's not that bad of a course... I may consider.

We make every effort to keep the CamaroCross safe. Safety is our #1 priority our #2 priority our #3 priority... you get the idea. Things can and sometime do go wrong. We had one driver get a foot with shoe caught under the brake pedal when it slipped off the accelerator. As the driver tried to extract the foot from under the brake it would press the accelerator to the floor. Luckily, disaster was averted. As hard as we try, we cannot design a guaranteed safe course.

The driver mo is the #1 reason a Camaro is fast at the CamaroCross and the #1 reason a car s safe at the CamaroCross. Drive no faster than you skill and comfort level allow. Ask for a ride along with a designated veteran CamaroCross driver. Ask for coaching. Go SLOW to be FAST. You'll have more fun than you can imagine.

Thanks. I think the ZL1 would be a lot of fun... but I can't trailer both cars. The Pace car is ligher, so that will help in the hauling. I'll talk to a couple others "trailer pooling" from the area and see.
