Any members that have had car replaced due to paint defects ???

If you have got chevy to replace your car due to paint related issues I'd really like to hear your stories !

This is what I'm requesting from chevy, I'd like to talk to people that were successful in this resolution.

Thanks guys & gals.

I know of 1 member in particular who had small paint defects throughout the paint on his 2014 SS. I believe they gave him a heard time at first, but eventually ordered him a new car with the same options.

You could try taking it to 1st State Chevy in Delaware and asking for the Sunday joyride special.

I'm only kidding!

They would have to be able to find you the exact 2013. They would then do a dealer transfer. You could check online by area to try and locate one. They usually say they only want to stay in a certain Geographical area. Hang in there and good luck you are in for a loooooong ride.

You always have to give them the option of fixing it right? I would think a great paint job would hold up better than stock. More paint chip stories each day on here...

Let them paint the car, suggesting that if they are going that far, just repaint the entire to make sure the paint matches.

AFTER they re-paint the car, inspect it and decide what to do next.

Give them a chance. You 'might' just be surprised.

Besides, I seriously doubt whether GM will agree to replace your car without you giving the dealer a chance to make things right.

can you explain the paint defect? I can't imagine why they need to paint that much unless they are blending into other panels.

No offense but without some kind of visual, just have no idea what we are talking about here. Seen some cases (wife's VW Cabriolet with this HUGE boil on hood AFTER we test drove it and signed) but a paint job that bad should be self evident.
