Mine looks just like the OP seat. About 8800 miles on the car. I am 150lbs and don't drive with my wallet in my back pocket.

Will ask the dealer about it on Tuesday while I am there.

Good to hear about your dealer GraySS. I hope everything comes out all right and you don't have to worry about your seats anymore.

Jeff,

Is there as TSB for this issue or is it a dealer judgement call.

Steiger, there is documentation on this issue. I cannot go into details on the specifics of what it covers but it looks to me like it pertains to issues such as these but this would have to be corroborated by a dealership. I hope this helps you guys.

These seats are a product of mexico. They are made by a company called johnson controlls. The seat covers are shipped into the us or canada where jc puts them together then takes them to the factory to be installed in a car. Ford used the same company as does lexus.

I guess my point is that when I want quailty I always look for products with the made in mexico tag. Its the reason that a large part of jobs that used to be done in the us are done down there. Better work force better matieral makes a better product.

I take mine in Monday to have shop look at it. Drivers is very wrinkled ad loose, and I keep it clean and condition.

Dealer warned me that if he has to replace the leather it will not look 100% right for the first couple of months. Said it will take some wearing and sun to match the passenger side, and probably will have to be 'reset' after the break in. I might push for passenger seat also.

Ok, thought I'd add my seat woes to this thread.
I've had my car for 3 years now and 21,000 miles.
I use it every day and have the beige leather seats.
I loved them when we got the car but now I'm thinking I should have bought the black leather or even maybe the cloth since I use it every day.
I've had the car in 4 times now to try and get the drivers seat fixed.
After the first year people at shows started telling me the seat material looked loose so I took it in to get it looked at.
They decided the foam was not good so they replaced it.
The second time I complained they ordered a new seat material and replaced it.
The next time I noticed it looking loose again I also noticed the front plastic clip had come off.
They clipped it back on and the seat sortof looked ok.
My car was out of the bumper to bumper a week ago and I mentioned the seat again to them and asked if I could talk to the service manager.
He looked at it agreed it didn't look good and offered to take it to a trim shop and have them put more padding in the bolster and tighten it down.
Now it still looks loose and a stuffed pig at the same time.

I'm not sure what to do next, wife says take it back and demand a new seat.
