What rear gears for a 4L80?

Car is for weekends only, will need to drive on highway to Camarofest. I want some good 60' times and great 1/4 mile times. I was considering 373? Any suggestions?

3.90 or 4.10 are going to give you best 60' and 1/4 mile et but you will be in higher rpms for highway driving.

Is there a halfway set up between 3.73 and 3.90?

He is saying its for weekends only and wants best 60' and 1/4 et. Only time he says it will be on highway is for camarofest. If you want a track performer go 3.90 or 4.10.

I would disagree ,especially with a pd,you wouldnt put alot of gear in a diesel would ya .With over 700 rwhp he should be out of gear by the 1/4 with a 4.10

4.10 maybe....but at that power level my 3.90 put us right through the traps at mid 6k range....perfect.

Keep in mimd this is an auto and he will have some converter slip ,with a pd we have found they et better when you let them spend more time in there power band insted at upper RPMs .I would have loved to run your car with 3.50s

Yeah...me too. The good thing about that combo I had is almost the entire rpm range is in the powerband. Big, broad and flat torque curve made it pull hard the entire time. A PD blower is a recipe for permagrin for sure.

I ran 3.73 with 727rwhp with the tvs2300 and wish i had more gear. I have run everything from a 3.25 gear to a 3.90 with 3 different combos and think i have a pretty good idea what works in these cars as i have also run a manual and auto as well.
