2012 camaro Ls v6 vs s2000

my cousins say I am going to lose to his s2k because of weight and other factors. I dont believe him. He only has a K&N intake and thats it. Im waiting for my CAI and then we will see who will win.

Any opinons, would like to know what camaro5 members have to say? I dont know alot about cars but they do.

The S2000 should have the advantage.

Considering the S2K runs 14.4 and the LS runs 14.3 Hate to say I put my money on the s2k.

Believe it or not, the auto has some pretty good times as the V6 is concerned. I dont have the link to the V6 times. I can tell you alot of the autos are at the top. It is fun to shift a manual, but its hard to beat a computer.

That looks like an AP1? Those have the 9k redline, different gearing, and less torque than the newer S2000s.

Basically he has to nail the launch. It's less forgiving than the AP2s.

So I put my money on you.

I would like to own an AP2 one day.

I just sold my "wife's" 2001 S2000. It was easy to launch when I had the sticky Yokahama tires on it. It is quick and a hell of a time at HPD events and autocrossing. The Yokahamas would last me about 8k miles.

Drivers race IMHO.
