not even week old and...

Scraped up my passenger side wheel against a curb leaving a drive thru..

Is it repairable? Or should I just look into buying another one?

I avoid ALL the ones I know that are rim-scrapers. Well, then again, I don't eat fast food, but my friends do.

Miami drivers!

Avoid the McDs on US1 and Univ of Miami! That's a rim scraper for sure.

*shudder*....TAG....THAT is why I really didn't want to drive through McDonalds...

I don't doubt it is...but how exactly is it repairable, does a shop have to refinish the wheel?

I've never used this particular company, but here is a place in Atlanta that repairs wheels - check the gallery.

Google "Atlanta Wheel Repair" for others. Places like this will not hesitate to show off their work in person.

a lot of that looks like it could be blended and refinished. Maybe even use a bit of filler and refinish. If done by a pro you wont even be able to notice it was damaged.

LOL at the people who said they won't go in a drive thru. There is plenty of room in drive thru's, especially in cars (short wheelbase). Maybe you all should just be more careful and know the dimensions of your car...just a thought. As for the wheel, yes, it's repairable. Look up aluminum wheel repair on google in your local area and you'll see alot of options.

I did that to my snow tire rim this winter...:(

Luckily, it wasn't my 20" polished aluminum wheels or it would have looked as bad as yours...hope you get it fixed good as new...

For new owners, the Camaro is low and visibility is not very good. You have a blind spot in 90 degree turns were you just cannot see the curb and you need to look as you are approaching the 90 degree turn, remember the location and as you approach your turn point and the curb moves into the blind spot, adjust your steering accordingly. It is awkward at first, but once you log a few miles you get used to it and it becomes second nature. So you need to pay special attention in drivethrus for awhile but once you adjust you should be fine.

I've never really known a drive-through to vex me to that extent.
