Depends on the weight/price. If the car weighs 100lbs less than the SS it wont be worth too much of a premium over the SS.

If it weighs 400lbs less, and costs less than 5k more, than yes probably.

I would be a little disappointed because all the other generations got v8's.

I put yes under the assumption that money is not a variable.

Because there's no way I'd be able to afford a Z28 no matter WHAT engine it has.

I'd vote yess for the exterior and no for the heart of that machine.

I voted no. I had a 3rd gen Z-28 and cannot see the point of a Z-28 without a V-8. As far as the interior...the trim should be similar to the SS with the exception of racing seats. IMO the exterior should look more like the "Chroma" car than Leno's.

I can't help myself. As much as it is starting to irritate me to see Z28 threads, I gotta' have a voice. If someone important reads this, I gotta' be heard

NO. This thing's gotta' be about the weight of a 4th. Gen for me to even consider it, and even then, it's not too likely. But hey - for everyone who likes it, more power to ya'

I think the question is would you buy the Leno Camaro, not would you buy if it was the Z28. LOL

At least for me, I'd sure consider the Leno Edition and it wouldn't matter if it was THE Z or not a Z.

But pound for pound (what does the LE weigh?) an SS is still an awesome car and it will take something pretty special to top it.

In that case - no. I love everything about that car (no lying) except the powertrain. Everything else (with minor exception to the hood) I'd keep. If that would be LE, I'd save my money for SS or Z28.

If GM came out with even more models than they do now, I would not complain at all and even been really suprised. Whatever it takes to keep Camaro on top of the other two can't be a bad idea

.....I wonder if anybody's regretting showing a car like that, yet........

If this thing were the Z/28? Identical?...yes.

I have no silly "principals" concerning V8s, I just consider them to be superior in every way to other engine designs. I love the style of this car, the power is there, and it's only a matter of a tune (and maybe internals) to up that power near 500-600 hp. Plus, it handles like a champ, has an up-level interior, and probably costs somewhere in the low to mid 40s.....

What's more is that this HYPOTHETICAL car would bear the sacred name of the vehicle I've been waiting for for nearly 4 years...
